It was fun, it was New Orleans! People were complaining about the pre-show but it was so on brand for one of the most cultured and proud cities in America. Did people think they wouldn't put on a show??? I loved all of the entertainment aspects. The National Anthem and Star Spangled Banner were beautiful and appropriate with a flair, and while I am not a rap fan, halftime was what they promised. Kendrick must have been exhausted, he didn't;t stop the entire show!

I’m glad the Eagles won because I didn’t want a Kansas City three-peat. But I never expected such a total domination.

Halftime show sucked big time.

Pick 6. Also a pick set Philly up on KC's 14. 5 Punts in the first half. 0 KC points.

2nd half Turnover on downs near Mid Field.
Set Philly up with a sack and fumble deep in KC territory. KC had a total of 6 points until Garbage time.

They all dominated.

But Jalen also dominated time of possession with the offense and let his D rest. And he did it solo b/c he led the team in rushing and passing - Saquon was shut down.

So, if you select the single most important player, it was Jalen.

The D players are 2-6, b/c at least 5 defenders all individually made big plays (my kid kept voting for Cooper DeJean b/c his pick 6 really got the D rout started)...

PS - And he got his offense, on his back, to put up 33 points...

Not hard to put up points when you start on the Chief's 14 yard line thanks to the defense. That and the pick 6 broke open the game when it mattered. We knew who was going to win by half time barring a near miracle. It was effectively out of reach before the defense gave up a single point. When the defense holds Mahomes and the Chiefs to Zero until the game is out of reach, that's an extra something I think deserves recognition. In fact, how many defenses have outscored Mahomes and the Chief's offense (7-6) prior to garbage time in the superbowl? We saw something good, if not great out of the QB. We saw something special out of the defense.

You need both. If you have an offense but not a defense you're just going to get in too many shoot outs and lose one. If you don't have an offense, eventually your defense is going to wear out.
