Super 8 Kissimmee Maingate??

hello, so this is the thing, we were going to stay at POP this go around,but being on a budget wanted to go with something a little more affordable and that has a micro/fridge. Found the Super 8 Maingate which is across from Old Town. I've seen it before as we go to the Dunkin Donuts and Publix next to it,but have never stayed. It is ranked 13th out of 188 hotels in Kissimmee and has pretty good reviews, was just wondering though if anyone has stayed there and could give me some insight or info?

to add to this..has anyone ate at Flippers Pizza @ Old Town? Is it good?

travelzoo has awesome deals going for hotels in Orlando. They have have some 39.00 a night that are suites. I know Springhill Suites and Residance Inn are both 39.00 a night.

thanks,but I got this for 33.95 a night,was just hoping to hear someones input on the place,but I guess knowone has stayed here before...

If you're talking about the Super 8 at 5875 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy we stayed there two nights in October 2008 when they were running their $8 special.

Back then the motel had just been renovated so our room was fine. The building sits in the middle of a parking lot though and doesn't have much in the way of atmosphere. The pool was clean but, again, in the middle of the parking lot and extremely small.

Some of the rooms face the back of a grocery store and the delivery trucks arrive VERY early every morning, no sleeping in!

It was okay for two nights (our arrival and departure days) but if it were us I'd take a look at the travelzoo deals. You'll get a LOT more for that extra few $$ a night.

Yes,that's the one! It's ranked 13th out 188 hotels in Kissimmee on Tripadvisor,with the rate we got I just don't know if I could beat that. I do remember the Publix being right there,maybe I should request to please not be put back there?
Not to worried about the pool being small,all the kids care about is just being able to swim a bit,we have no pool so any pool is nice to them,lol,besides most of our time will be at the parks,as long as the rooms are clean and it's a nice place to lay our head at night then I'll feel alright about our decision.
Thanks for your input, I will continue to look on Travelzoo this next month in case something better pops up!
