Can he tolerate Desitin? It's almost half zinc oxide which is a sun blocker. If you get the cream you probably could use it as a sun screen.

My son had a reaction to Coppertone Water babies a few years ago. He also has asthma and mutiple food allergies, and has no other reactions to soaps etc. I found that Banana Boat tear free kids 50+ lotion works great on him. When reading labels almost everything I have found has the same ingredients as the coppertone, including the banana boat sprays and the BB baby. BB kid lotion has the TD in it, and I am not sure what it is about the others that my son reacted to. I stocked up during a sale on the banana boat kids 50+ lotion after he didn't react to it, so I always have enough of it. I send it to school too, so they know only to use his sunscreen on water days or very hot days.

banana boat kids: Active Ingredients: Homosalate (15%) (Sunscreen), Octinoxate (7.5%) (Sunscreen), Octisalate (5%) (Sunscreen), Titanium Dioxide (2.4%) (Sunscreen)

Waterbabies: Active Ingredients: Avobenzone (3%) (Sunscreen), Homosalate (13%) (Sunscreen), Octisalate (5%) (Sunscreen), Octocrylene (7%) (Sunscreen), Oxybenzone (4%) (Sunscreen)

My DD12 is allergic to peanuts, nuts, lentils and chickpeas. We have successfully used Coppertone Sport for many years. I wanted to let you know that many sunscreens contain shea butter, which my DD's allergist has instructed us to avoid (since shea is a nut).

My son had a reaction to Banana Boat a couple of years ago (at Disney) Unfortunately I don't remember which type though. My mother-in-law swears by Keihls. We didn't have anything else with us, so the next day we tried the Keihls on him - and everything is fine. So now that's all we use on him. The Keihls is expensive but I'm scared to try anything else.

I also have children with nut allergies. I did want to point out that it might not even be a ingredient you can find listed . It could have just been made in a facility with other lotions that contained nut oils.

Neutrogena does make lotions with nut oils. I know you use the face cream find and it may even be made in a seperate facility and safe , but I did want to point that out in case you want to call and check up on it .

We use sunscreen made for babies. I cant recall the name but it has toy blocks on it and its in a pink tube. I will have to hunt it down and post the name for you.
