Ok...maybe it is not too often you hear someone rave about a counter service meal experience, but I have to give Sunshine Seasons in Epcot huge props.:thumbsup2

It was nice to go eat a CS meal where you had more choices than fish/chips, burgers and fries, hot dogs or pizza etc. The rotisserie (sp?) chicken was great! It was also nice to given an empty cup for the sodas and know we could go back and fill it as many times as we wanted compared to most other CS spots.

There was also plenty of seating the day we were there .

Just wanted to throw that out there.

Is that the one next to Mexico...I don't think I've ever seen that open.

yup!!! we went there for breakfast one morning. best breakfast we had all week.

We liked it too. I know we all have our favorites things when we go someplace but Sunshine seems to mix it up a bit & change things.

Along with Tangierine Cafe, its my favorite CS in all of WDW! The choices are wonderful and so is the food!:thumbsup2

We like this as well and plan on eating there on our upcoming trip. I had a really good Cuban sandwich. :)

Last time, my boys got to do the hokey pokey, join a parade, and receive a free cookie. It really was great.

Does anyone know if they are still doing this? I hope so.

We plan on going back regardless, but it would be great to for them to get to do that again!

wow, i never heard of any of that, but we went for breakfats and were the only ones there other than employees.
but i gotta say, if its where the cast mambers are choosing to eat, you know its good!!

hehehe

Ok, I agree that Sunshine Seasons is yummy, but it took me a second to realize what you meant by props. You see, I'm doing a community theater musical right now, and at first glance I was thinking props as a theater term! I kept picturing giant fake veggies near the tables!:rotfl:

Hahaha...I needed that chuckle tonight. Now I am picturing giant fake veggies.

We eat at Sunshine Seasons at least twice per trip. Great selections for vegetarians too! Veggie lo mein, stir-fried veggies, veggie fried rice, cuban sandwich, and one of the soups is usually truly vegetarian too. I think they've had a tofu entry sometimes too.

Plus a huge variety of salads in the ready-made case.

And a dessert counter with selections on a par with many of the TS restaurants. :thumbsup2

We ate at Sunshine Seasons on our trip last month and enjoyed it so much that we returned twice.

The selection is just fantastic - there is so much to choose from and it's all unique stuff, not your typical burgers and chicken strips. Plus, we found the portions to be very large. We'd typically get an entree and a couple of sides from the coolers and we'd share. All in all, a great place to stop for a bite!

Also, we were on our honeymoon and when the CMs there saw our buttons, they sent us over to the bakery counter and we got two free cookies of our choice. And yes, they insisted we do this on each visit, even when we explained that we'd already had them a few days earlier. :thumbsup2:

Congratulations! No better place to spend a Honeymoon than the happiest place in earth.

We had lunch there 2 weeks ago. It wasn't for me & son's but DH loved it.

Sunshine has the best dessert selection if on DDP. You can choose anything from the bakery. Last time I had the butter finger cheesecake and the chicken cesar sald. It was a great lunch.

I adore the turkey sandwich with chipotle mayo. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had - anywhere!
