I'm creating a touring plan for my mom and aunt who will be at WDW from 11/8-11/12. The only have time for Hollywood Studios on 11/8 which is one day before the official opening of Sunset Seasons Greetings. Do you figure that they'll have a soft opening for it so that they'll get to see it? A few years ago they were there 3 days before the Osborne Lights and got to see them with the soft opening, so I'm hoping they'll get lucky again and be able to see this!

There is an AP Holders preview that night.

This confuses me. I’m not really clear on what the sunset seasons greetings is going to be. My understanding is that it would be projected on Hollywood tower and other places that would be visible to anyone. So how is it possible for there to be a pass holder preview? What am I missing? Wouldn’t OP be able to see it too if they were there?

I know... right. I mean, how can that particular event be exclusive access, with the projections and what not? I saw something about it on another fan site on Friday. Just so happens that we are eating at 50's Primetime on Tuesday night right before the event, so of course we will check it out. IIRC the article said that RNRC and TOT would be open during the event. Maybe that part is for only passholders? I probably should check and see if more details are provided on the official Passholder page. Can you tell how excited I am? :p

We arrive on Tues and are planning to check it all out on thurs, the first night of jingle bell, jingle bam but maybe it means it would be after hours? We are also planning on converting our tickets to annual passes when we arrive. How would we find out info to get the details? The pass holder page?

I saw it on another reputable fan site's Facebook page on Friday morning. I have not investigated further
I can't find anything on the Passholder Website. Since I am here now & will be through the 15th I'd like more info but as usual the people who should be notified are the last to find out. We were over at DHS last night & they had at least one of the billboards lit up. They were supposed to be filming for the holiday specials & were doing a sound check when we were on Sunset Blvd. They also had TOT lit up as the Giant Pile of Holiday Packages when we were leaving after the Fireworks. Got a photo with the Giant Christmas Tree which is in the lake. SO for the other poster there are already most of the decorations up.

The projections are on the ToT only. There is also a large screen located at the mid point of Sunset Blvd, but that only shows clips of the characters introducing the projection segments on the Tower.

If there is a DVC preview, I suspect that it will be like tonight's CM preview, IE, it takes place after the park has been cleared of day guests. Only DVC members would be in the park.

There is an AP preview tonight for this confirmed by WDWMagic.
According to the flyer, it appears that it's limited to what's going on at Sunset Blvd and will not include the JBJB show or the Frozen holiday show.
