Sunset Pointe - Why so little people allowed?

She's not doing a wishes wedding, she would be looking at an Escape wedding,, with 18 guests max. :)

She can have a beach wedding at the Wedding Pavilion with an Escape wedding, it has to be on a Monday-Thursday and costs the $5500 that the Wedding Pavilion costs.

One thing to note, if it's important to her - you can't see the castle from the Wedding Pavilion beach - just Space Mountain. :thumbsup2

Also, Disney has a strict rule with one chair for every guest. I know because I wanted to have less chairs for our cake cutting/eating at SBP to help with $, but I was told it was Disney policy that there were enough chairs for each person.
And at SP, I know it has something to do with the slope and how many chairs can fit there without there being a problem and that's why it's only 8 now. Disney must not want guests' chairs to tip over while they're sitting!:rotfl: But seriously, I'm sure none of you would either....

This is what we origionally wanted to do and I was told it was not possible for an Escape wedding in no uncertain terms and by multiple people. DFTW is notorious for giving our different info to different people though, so you can still ask but I wouldn't get overly excited about it.

We switched to SBP instead as we don't care for the WP

Does Disney provide the tables/chairs or do you have to rent those separately?? I would have thought they would be included in the 2 hr. cake reception.. and the price of the wedding....

Great ! Thanks!! I was just confused after reading the comment above about saving money by not everyone having a chair.... LOL

Sorry! I should have been more specific!!!

I should have said I was trying to save $ on the chair covers....the chairs are included...the chair covers are not...

I was married at Sunset Pointe in 2005, and the limit of 8 guests is correct. The space is actually quite small, because it is difficult to place seating on the incline of the pointe. We were able to add a few more guests (for an extra price), but the maximum was 13, and that was firm.

The location is beautiful, and Cinderella Castle as the backdrop to the photos is well worth the small guest list!

Due to the heat in Florida and no shelter close by, Sunset Point is also limited to October through March, I believe are the months.
