Sunset Beach, NC

Anyone been to, going to, or live at Sunset Beach NC? Will be on the Island Aug 14-21. Have been going there for 15 years off/on....

I have! I loved it. My sister goes every year also. She has a friend who has a house...
I read a thread on here awhile back that said several people on this board vacation there.

I lthink it was my most favorite beach in the Carolinas.

We've rented a beach house on Ocean Isle Beach a few times, and that's really close to Sunset Beach. It's a beautiful area. There is a great seafood restaurant in Sunset Beach. I can't remember the name of it right now though...

I would guess Twin Lakes is the name of the restaurant.. Right next to the swing bridge...

That's it!!! Thanks DrCavin! It was driving me crazy trying to remember it. I felt like I was having a senior moment and I'm not even that old!

It took me about 5 minutes to come up with the name, I had Twin Peaks in my brain & could not think of what it really was....

We usually end up eating there once during the week. There used to be a restaurant across the street from it, but it was closed last year when we were down.
