Sunscreen for faces

I use elta MD SPF 46. It is the best out there and it is not greasy. I have a couple of family members that had skin cancer and this is what it was recommended to them by their doctor. DH uses neutrogena clear face.

We also use Neutrogena for faces, but it's too expensive to use for the body. With 5 kids on a long trip, we would spend a fortune on sunscreen. So we use No-Ad or the Target store brand, or whatever Costco has for a good price for the rest of the body.

I use Clinque City Block SPF 40, it has a slight tint to it and works great.

I like the City Block because it makes your make-up stay on all day, but for some reason I still burn with it.

I use the regular Clinique Sunscreen for a full day at WDW with no re-application (sometimes I use both the regular Cinique and the City Block together so my make-up stays on for pictures all day! ;):rotfl2:). They have one that is just for "Face" which I used to buy, but if you look at the ingredients it is exactly the same as the one for the body, so I just buy the body one now. I can't tell the difference in them. I asked a Clinique rep if there was really any difference as the ingredient labels were the same and her answer was "probably not". I have very light skin and with the regular Clinique and no-reapplication, my face has never gotten sunburned at WDW.

I use Clinique's facial sunblock. In fact I love it so much that I went and bought a second one just to keep in our fifth wheel. I've tried the Neutragena and my face is just too sensitive for that one. Good luck!

I use Cerave SPF 30, my dermatologist reccomended it, it's not greasy at all.

To the OP, you mentiooned having a sunscreen that helped with wrinkles would be good too. Using sunscreen everyday, even in the cold winter, is the best preventative for wrinkles.

Am I only the one who finds Neutrogena greasy? I have the one for faces but still find it quite greasy. :confused3 I wonder if there is more than one kind of Neutrogena for faces??????

I don't care for neutrogena either. The one I mentioned, the Peter Thomas Roth, is a powder that brushes on like Bare minerals but really does protect. I use either Philosophy Hope in a Jar moisturizer or Olay Daily Defense with SPF and then use the PTR over it. No burn at tall. It also stops the shine :)

I use the Ombrelle SPF 60 'face' stick. It is non greasy and isn't messy. Looks and acts like a lipstick applicator. Great for travel!

Eucerin Everyday Sensitive Skin Face Lotion. It has broad-spectrum SPF 30, and is great for sensitive skin. It's my daily moisturizer and has a wonderful lightweight texture - great for my oily/combination skin. About $8 for four ounces (pretty good price!).

Opinions please! I am getting my last minute stuff together to pack and I would like to get some suscreen for my face. Any recommendations? I dont want to use the regular stuff that we use for our bodies. Something that is not heavy or greasy or sticky. And it wouldnt be a bad thing if it took all the wrinkles away either!

Any tried and trusted brands?

I use La Rouche Posay anthelios 60spf on my face everyday. love it :)

ELTA

Hands down. A bit pricey but well worth it. It is the dermatologists choice (at leat all I have seen) for sensitive skins, it has high SPF, and is in an elegant formula that won't slip (into your eyes), is very lightweight, and long-lasting.

Wear it under your makeup. sunscreens in makeup and moisturizer are just now becoming regulated by the new SPF laws where they have to show protection of UVA as well as UVB and you will see a lot of those claims go away....

Another vote for Clinique. I too had skin cancers on my face and am a redhead. I do not burn with the Clinique. I'm also allergic to alot of cosmetics and the Clinique products are the only ones I do not react to.

I have this one as well and find it too thick and greasy still. In fact it causes me to break out.
