We are booked at the Sunrise Hotel in San Pedro the night before our cruise departs in August. Would anyone who stayed here recently be willing to give a review?

Well havent stayed recently... its been yrs (Im from Pedro) But when we did stay was for my high school reunion 3yrs ago. It is well your run of the mill Best Westerns. Older but back then still nice. If its just for the night or 2 I would say no worries.. if you want you could even WALK to the port lol

Its really close to the Ports O' Call also which has a fish market and a bunch of lil shops to walk around.. or well again it did 3yrs ago. We used to go to the Acapolco resturant and watch the ships leave.

Thanks, anewmac. I understand it is no longer associated with Best Western and they have had some poor reviews on Trip Advisor. We are only staying the night, so will hope for the best.

We stayed there last week and the did the park and sail. It worked out great. The hotel is clean, but nothing special. They do have a decent breakfast in the morning. When you arrive at the hotel, you will have to sign up for the shuttle to the port. I believe their shuttles leave every 15 minutes starting at 10am. We took the 10am shuttle. It worked out perfectly. When we got back, we called the shuttle once we went through customs and by the time we got our luggage the shuttle was there. It worked out great.

We just stayed there in June 2008 before are cruse. I would do it again. I agree it is noting special but it was clean. The breakfast is ok to. Ther are plenty of restraunts in walking distance. There are a few musuems to. If you get a room facing the port you could watch the Magic sail in. We did that and I loved it.

Thanks for the encouraging words. Maybe the Sunrise has improved since those old reviews on Trip Advisor were posted. From what you say, we should be fine.
