sunny lines?

Seems like I am asking all kinds of questions recently...

Anyway, does someone have a list someone of the lines at WDW that are in
the sun (even just part of them)? It looks like I may be starting on
medication soon that means I must limit my sun exposure, and I have
never paid attention to when I was in the sun! I am deciding whether it
is worth getting a GAC or not - we don't really do AK, so it would just
be DHS, MK, and EC. I am also asking this for friends of mine on
similar meds who are trying to decide if they can do a WDW trip. We go
in dec to avoid the strong sun, but I just cant remember if I would ever
be in the sun for lines... If this is not something to post on the
boards cause it's a GAC question, can you PM me? I know this has been discussed somewhere but i am having problems finding it... Thanks so much!

I think most of the lines are pretty much covered, can't think of any off the top of my head that are in direct sun - actually I think the only ones are like Dumbo, Aladdin's carpets, etc. they have a small area shaded but since the lines reach farther than that it would be in the sun...

One idea my aunt uses every trip - she bought a parasol in Epcot (in France) one year to shade her from the sun - she has extrememly thin hair from illnesses and is prone for her scalp to burn, so she uses the parasol to shade her from the harsh sun. I'm usually pushing her in a wheelchair, so she holds it to the angle she needs to protect herself from the sun.

Hope that helps!

Worst line for sun, IMHO, is the Nemo Musical show at Animal Kingdom.

Please WDW, put up some sort of screen above this long line...... it is really bad, because you need to line up early to get in.

If you have a medical sun sensitivity, then you really should get a GAC with the "Shaded Waiting Area" stamp on it. If that's what you need, that's what you can get. When there is a sun-drenched line, you are allowed to wait in a shaded part until it's your turn. A GAC with just this stamp will provide you with just this accommodation, nothing more, nothing less.

We are a fmaily of redheads, and when you're redheaded, the sun is not your friend. We get the Shaded Waiting Area GAC every time we go, and it has been worth it for us. When the line is shaded, we wait in the regular line, but when it's sunny, we wait in the shade.

Good luck!

Wow, what's this "we don't really do AK" business? AK is our favorite park, as we like to wander around and savor things, occasionally taking a ride or doing a show. But different strokes for different folks, I guess.
