I started some sunflowers from seeds in small pots.

Transplated some into the ground and some into larger pots.

The ones in the ground are around 3 feet tall...the ones in the larger pots are 7-8 feet tall..they are so tall that they are falling over...pot and all. They are the same variety..the mammouth seeds.

Next year...even BIGGER pots! Wonder why the potted plants are so much bigger?

I've no idea why there's such a difference. My "volunteer" sunflowers that come from bird seed have always done better than my seeded varieties. Bunnies have always eaten the ones I planted before they had a chance to grow.

They sound so lovely, enjoy!

Amid - Stop denying it and face the facts: Your sunflower is addicted to pot! :yo-yo:

LOL, Vanessa has wrecked her sunflowers on pot so much that they're falling over:p
Your pots better than mine man.

My free seeded pot free sunflowers are huge, happy flowering. The carefully planted ones if they weren't eaten by Chucky the Wood Chuck or the bunnies turned out spindly.
