Sunday's Toys R Us Ad question

Friday while at Toys R Us, we were unable to purchage the Leapster Game system on sale for $29.99 as advertised. They were out when we arrived so I bought the Leapster2, (did not know the difference until the cashier pointed this out, also told us they were sold out of the one on sale.) We paid $59.99 along with softerware for $24.99. Full price grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Now just 2 days later in today's ad the flyer stated SAVE $20 on any Leapfrog purchase of $75. Can I take my receipt back with a copy of the ad and get my $20?

Anyone have experience for this type of sale after you bought it with toys R Us??


What chance do I have of receiving my $20. After all we were pretty frustrated with the pricing difference on Friday and all.

I don't know if TRU does price adjustments, but if you paid full price, then I'd just return it and re-buy it with the $20 off special.

I believe they will price adjust for you...and if for some reason they don't I would return it and re-buy it.

I was in line to return stuff today and the lady behind me was returning a whole bag of Leapster stuff because she got it cheaper on Amazon. You might want to check Amazon to see if their price is better and then return your stuff to TRU.

I got the charger and another game thru Amazon. But the system was not cheaper.

I'm not sure how long it will last, but Leapfrog is having a sitewide sale right now: http://www.leapfrog.com/en/shop.html

They have some older games at really good prices, free shipping and some good packages that include a Leapster and software.

I had a $5 off register reciept from Target that Walmart allowed. so i got the Leapster2 for $45. now my sister in law, on BF (i went at midnight for a movie, she went at 5am for something else) and they actually price matched the L2 withthe TRU Leapster flyer... she got 2, (one for us) so I returned mine.

not bad.. not bad.. combined with the $20 Tag deal i got last month, my DD is set.

Stopped at TRU with my receipt, they gave me the $20.00 plus tax cash back. So now I feel a bit better about paying full price on the Leapster2.

My husband mocked my looking at the flyer since we were finished shopping. He was impressed that I went back to collect my money.

A lady who worked at tru told me you can price adjust any item for the entire return policy length (it varies based on electronics or not). I did this with a bounce house I bought that they reduced for bf.
