I usually make fun of my dad for watching the History Channel, but I'm gonna cut him a little slack this week because he just told me on Sunday night they are having a 2 hour show about Disney World on Modern Marvels! I think it's new! It sounds good! Here is the synopsis from History Channels website.

Premieres:
Sunday, December 25 @ 8pm ET/PT

Journey underground and backstage at the technological marvel that is Walt Disney World. Enter a make-believe world spanning some 27,000 acres, brought to life by cutting-edge technology. What was once Florida swampland now boasts the world's largest theme park. The ride technology ranges from space-age centrifuges to enhanced motion vehicles powered by 3,000 PSI of hydraulic pressure. And hundreds of audio animatronics brought to life through the power of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Walt Disney World is made up of four separate theme parks, each with its own innovations: the 107-acre Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. The four parks are all part of a megaplex of a resort. Twice the size of Manhattan, it was the final vision and crowning achievement of a man who spent more than 40 years pushing the limits of technology to create entertainment magic: Walt Disney. TVPG

I love this kind of "behind the scenes" stuff!

Awesome! Sounds like the perfect thing to curl up and watch Christmas night. Thanks!

We're going to be traveling Christmas night. Does anyone know if the History Channel repeats shows?

Thanks,
Linda

You can buy the DVD for $24.95 in February if you miss the show. I looked on their web site.

Woo Hoo!! A Disney show on tv that I haven't seen yet!! I can't wait to watch it! It being on Christmas night makes it even better! :cool1:

Thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely be recording it.

We have Charter's Moxi DVR instead of a Tivo. So far, the only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have the "wish list" functionality that you guys always talk about. Which means I have to do a search for "Disney" at least once every 2 weeks to make sure I don't miss any Disney shows. I think I have every Disney related Travel Channel show already recorded though.

Usually the History Channel repeats shows alot, but the only repeat I see so far for this new Disney show is at midnight on Christmas day. More repeats might pop up though.

I can't wait to see it! My dad said the commerical said they would be visiting the underground tunnels.
