Sunday morning rituals...

I get up early to read the Sunday paper, then Church at 8:30am, Sunday school at 10:00am, then home to relax or off to visit with my dad. I love Sundays!

Church then Lunch at O'Charley's then free to do whatever else. Also depends on whether I'm on call or whether wife is working.

Get up, shower, brush teeth, and get dressed. I usually skip breakfast. I walk out my back door, jump over a wall (sometimes I actually walk around to the gate), and walk across the street to Church-I sing in the choir and then I go to SS. Things will be a little different these next three weeks because I will be taking a inquirers class over at the local Episcopal parish to see what that church is all about so I will actually have to DRIVE I hate driving, but during Sunday mornings I practically have the road to myself so that's okay

Then I come back home have lunch and then take a long NAP! I am surprised to notice that there is only one other afternoon napper to have posted-I thought there would be several who have posted by now!

Oh, I forgot to post that. My Sunday afternoon naps are one of the best parts of the day!

Interesting that this poll reflects what I have seen in national polls on church attendance. About 40% attned church "regularly" which is down from past generations. But remember that is a national average and it seems to depend on where you live. Some areas of the country are much higher, but then some areas of the country are much lower. Just interesting to me.

I am up at 5am & in the car heading to work by 5:30. I get home at about 8:15pm. As soon as I get home I change, eat & Dis! Sundays aren't very fun days for me.

Aha! Some nappers! LOLOLOL! Naps are heavenly...from what I remember. Haven't napped since I was in school. Never napped before that either. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Until yesterday we were on summer routine. I would get up at 7 so that I could have some peace and quiet to read part of the Sunday paper, then I would start breakfast and be in the shower by 8 so we could leave by 9 for church. Next Sunday church goes back to regular hours so it will be DS to Sunday School at 9:45 and church at 11:00. When we were in Italy some Sundays we would go with folks from church for lunch or just go home and then the rest of the day is to relax and do whatever.

On Sunday mornings, I drive to Whole Foods to do my grocery shopping. It's an hour away, and this is my morning to blare my radio and have some alone time with my coffee!

Fortunately, they're opening a new Whole Foods about 20 minutes away...but I'll miss my Sunday morning ritual (but save a lot on gas!!)

We go to church, then come home and eat lunch. (Sometimes we'll go somewhere for lunch.) Then it's usually nap time. Unless it's football season, then I try to stay up and watch the Steelers.

When we moved here 10 years ago, our neighbors thought we spent Sunday afternoons praying because our house was always so quiet.

There's nothing like a Sunday afternoon nap!

DW & I always nap on Sunday afternoon. I keep one eye open to watch the Astros or Texans.

I usually get myself and my DDs up for mass, we go to 9:30am. Then we meet my DH at a Baptist service at 11:00. We go to two each week! I'll have to say my kids get churched up and don't complain. Then we have lunch with friends. I spend the afternoon at the flea market(mmmmm...the popcorn) or doing yard work!
