Sunday/Monday which parks?

I’m visiting next on Sunday and Monday 12/18-19. We don’t usually get hoppers. Is there any advantage to one day vs the other at each park? Or that time of year does it even matter? My SD area friend did mention that they have school until the 21st… I didn’t realize that some kids might still be in school. Maybe not enough to make a difference? If it matters… we are pretty much for sure going to DCA on 12/20 until mid afternoon before driving back to AZ. But we’d like one full day at each park on the other days.

Going at that time of year the main consideration is probably park hours. DCA closes earlier, so that may be a benefit/drawback on a certain day.

Other than that, check the calendar to make sure they don’t have a specific event in one park or the other as that can impact crowds.

During the Halloween season you have to watch out for the Oogie Boogie Bash nitghts that close DCA at 6. Not sure what the Christmas season brings.

We usually buy hoppers, but if we didn't have them for our usual Sunday and Monday trips, I'd do Disneyland on Sunday and California Adventure on Monday due to longer park hours on weekend days and I still feel that Disneyland has the most to offer.
