Sunday MNSSHP vs Tuesday party

There will be parties on both Sunday and Tuesday during our trip (September 10th and 12th). I know weekend parties are typically busier but wasn't sure about a school night. Any experience with Sunday nights? Thank you!

I don't classify Sunday night as a weekend party. That's a night people have to be up at work and school the next morning.

We look at Sunday night parties as (1) a great way to end your vacation if your leaving and extend vacation until Monday which can make for a busier time; and (2) locals that take a 3 day weekend. I vote for Tuesday if you want the slower of the 2 days, but also watch out for when CMs get discount tickets. That can draw in the numbers too.

We did a Tuesday party in September in 2015 and it sold out. The Friday party that week also sold out. I don't think the Sunday party sold out. Keep in mind that a lot of people arrive on Sunday and may not want to spend their travel day out late at night.

I would go with Sunday. So many people attend the parties now you can expect any one you go to will be crowded. A sold out party is just as crowded as the next sold out party.

My party advice is go to the first one you possibly can. If there is bad weather and everything gets canceled, you are still at disney to try to go another night.. if you leave until later in your trip, you have no second or third chance....

We will be there those same dates. In 2015 we went to both a Sunday and Tuesday party in early October, and both were equally crowded.

This is what I'm planning to do for our September trip. We are going to brave the crowds on Friday, September 15. It's our first MNSSHP we've attended so if we really love it or we don't accomplish as much as we wanted to and we want more time - I'm planning to buy tickets for the Sunday party on September 17th while we are down there.
