That is awesome you Disers are meeting up. Have a great day! I like that sort of enthusiast thing but I currently can't go to DLR as it is forhappy people and I'm really depressed about my beloved dog being stolen during the holidays. Some people are so un-Dis it is sad.

I'm so sorry to hear that someone stole your dog. That is just really horrible. People can be real jerks. I hope you get him/her back.

We had a blast! It was great to see folks!

We had gotten there late and got stuck in the throngs of folks trying to get into the parks. The line of cars waiting to park at Mickey and Friends (the massive garage) was stopped all the way on the bridge into the structure. Then, we were smart in taking the monorail in, but it took us a while.

The highlights:
Meeting everyone - Pixiewings and her husband, Waisowskilover, DisneyLove, Axiom, Shyboy, TooCherie, and of course, the honorable Mary Jo.
Sharing the remains of one of the seasons last handpulled candy canes - made by the master craftsmen at the Candy Palace and Mr. Guy Fieri of Food Network fame. (I got 2 of the 20 made for the taping of that show.) The best part was sharing them with people who "got" their importance and appreciated it!
Great conversation at lunch a a group photo to follow.

All in all - a great time!

It was really great meeting you and your family. Your husband was soo nice & patient, and your little ones may drive you crazy, but I thought they were adorable. Your oldest one melted my heart when she came up and gave me a hug goodbye! Thank you for the candy cane and the homemade soap. I'm so impressed that you make those and the creams, too! I can hardly wait to use it.

It was also really great for me to meet Jasmine, Eric, Kaycee, Patrick, & Jesse (who I'm waiting to see when he joins the boards. ), and Wendy, & her two boys (I have something to email you, Wendy, for the boys to find hidden mickeys), and Carrie & her husband, too, as well as seeing Cheryl & Michelle (+ yet-to-join friend).

We missed you, SherryE, & anyone who just couldn't make it out this time. We'll have to plan more of these.

It was a nice meet, and now I can put faces to the names - awesome.

You know, I actually had a dream last night that i was going to DLR today.
The big DL Christmas tree was replaced by a small Christmas tree and I was like, "Why would they do that? It's only 1 more day!"

I hope that there'll be more mini meets in the future!

You could always join the Girls Only Trip! Some of the ones who were at this meet (toocherie, Mary Jo, Zoemakes5) are going on that trip.

We have over 50 ladies signed up to be there for all or part of the trip from March 5-9. Some ladies will be there with their families and will join us just for a meal or two. We'll be making dining reservations starting this week so there is still time to sign up if anyone is interested.

It's going to be a lot of fun!!!

Hi back! It was great talking to them. They were delightful young men & I could have talked to them longer. I'll have to check out the hidden mickey's they told me about on Pirates.

I wish that I could have stayed a little longer, but the boys were antsy for some action and so I missed meeting "Yellow Mickey Poncho's" I am sad that I couldn't meet another Burbank girl ( I grew up there).

We were sorry we didn't get there sooner. The time just flew buy this morning, and for some reason the girls just didn't cooperate in getting ready (and I just couldn't get my own act together on top of it - losing things as I put them down!). We also didn't plan for how truly bad it was to get into the parking lot. 45 minutes!!! 30 minutes to get into the park!!!!

I would love to meet up with you guys another time. I barely got to see Cheryl and missed Michele and her gang. I've owned a house and lived in Burbank for 7 years now. It really is a great town!

PS for Mr Bungle - give your bride our best wishes for recovery and to keep on top of it with the meds she was given. I had bronchitis before Christmas and am still suffering from recurring and lingering bouts of it. This week it's better.

Oh, I missed the mini-meet! I was visiting family for Christmas and then PinkBudgie and her family came down to see us (and go to DLR, of course ) and then Sunday I wasn't feeling very good. It's all been kind of crazy and I'm just now getting back on the DISboards. Sounds like you all had a good time. PinkBudgie and I were there on Jan 1 and 2. Crowds were crazy on Jan 2.

Oh and PixieWings, I thought of you on my trip up north for Christmas. We were at my MIL's house and I got up early to go over to my parent's house to go after Christmas shopping with PinkBudgie and our mom and I go out to the car and it's covered with ice! I'm trying to figure out what to do since everyone else at MIL's house is still asleep. Then I remembered what you said about using a credit card to scrape the ice. The first thing I grabbed was actually my Vons club card so i used that which worked well but it made the lamination start peeling off the card. Oh well, a small sacrifice to go shopping. Anyway, thanks for the tip!
