Sun Shade for stroller

I used this sun shade on my Maclaren double stroller in Disney this past May. I liked it. It definitely provided a lot more protection than the shades that came on the stroller. I liked that it was versatile - I could velcro or tie it on any way that I wanted. There were times that I pulled it way down and pretty much covered the kids up. It is a very flimsy shade - basically a piece of stretchy material with a flexible rim around the front of it. If it's real windy I can see it blowing back, but we never had a problem with that. We also found that the side pockets were good for consealing things and helping to weigh the shade down. The kids would have cooked without it on our last trip!

We used it on our Peg Pliko P3 and it worked wonderfully! Most times we used it to block the sun and a few times we used it to keep noise out (like while DD was sleeping while we were eating at Earl of Sandwich). It really was our favorite item that we brought to Disney. Can you pick one up at a local store and try it on your stroller at home before you leave or are you renting a stroller when you get there?

I just picked it up at the store and am going to try it this week. Glad to hear it works. Does it block their view of seeing things?

Does it block their view of seeing things?

That depends on how you tie it/stretch it. You can set it so that it is just above them, half way down, or completely covering them. If I wanted it to cover them up (like while they were napping) I would pull it up so that the stroller's shade was covering the back of the stroller and the kiddopotamus ran from the front of the stroller's shade down to the stroller seat to cover them completely. (hard to describe - hope that makes sense!). I really liked that I could use it for as much or as little coverage as I needed. At night I would fold the stroller's shades back and it would hold the kiddopotamus shade back too.

Here are two pics of DD in her stroller. In the first pic, you can't see, but she's sleeping so we had it pulled down all the way (lifted it paritally to take the pic). In the second pic, it's tucked behind the stroller canopy since the sun wasn't blazing at that moment. When it's down, it does block their side view depending on how far down you pull the shade, but DD didn't seem to care. There was plenty to see out the front. Hope this helps!
