I've been googling images but still not sure. Is most of the stadium seating shaded or in the sun? I see a "canopy" or whatever you'd call it over a good portion of seating, but does the sun still hit you there dependent on time of day? To get shaded seated, do you have to be higher up and sacrifice better viewing?

Also at dine with Shamu, are part of the tables in sun and part in shade? Do I need to request shade?

What about queues? Shaded?

Nothing against the sun, but I'm about as white as white comes and very allergic to sunscreen. :)

I think most of the stadiums are both. Sun in bottom rows, shade in upper half. We usually sit in the shade and avoid the lower rows because they are "splash zones" anyway. :) I think most all of the queues are inside or in shade. The tables in dine with Shamu are all in the shade as far as I can remember. But it is a big park with a lot of walking in the sun! I get polymorphous light eruption (photosensitivity, similar to allergic reaction) to the sun. Really ugly, itchy, red rash to sun exposed areas, so I feel your pain. :-)

PP has it spot on! Lots of shade and sun areas in the stadium but agree the park is big so there will be a lot of walking around in it. I burn as I have the 'milky' white tan that goes to lobster red and back to milky white again LOL! I don't have an allergy per-say to sunscreen but after a few days it does get to me! Large brimmed hat and some loose cover-ups is how I usually get by. This year will be a challenge as we are going in August!

Some of the shows, exhibits, and restaurants are inside air conditioned buildings, too. Usually there are places to sit around the park where you can find shade, too. In August we always bring our water fans to help stay cool and drink lots of water. They do have a misster or 2 in the park where you can walk through.
