How can I take sunscreen in our carry-on? All the bottles are to large? Are you allowed to take arisal spray sunscreen on board? Are they restricted to the same size?

Yes, the bottles are too large. I am not sure, but I beleive that the aerosol cans are not allowed in the carry on either. I would go to Walmart, Target, CVS, etc and buy a trail size (or small bottle) of sunscreen. These bottles are small enough (3 oz or less) that you can put them in your carry-on. You sometimes see them attached to a larger bottle of sunscreen and many times the small bottles will have a clip on them so that you can hang them from your purse or backpack.

Maybe we will have to get 4 travel size bottles as we are very white and don't want to start our holiday getting burnt.

or, transfer some sunscreen into empty 3 oz (or smaller) bottles.

That's about the only way you can do it.

Can you do that? I thought that the liquids had to be in original packaging.

Updated: Nevermind. I just looked on the TSA website and I didn't see anything about original packaging.

Just researched it and the size is 100ml and they don't have to be in the original packaging but have to be placed in a 1 liter resealiable clear bag.

Neutrogena has a sunscreen in 3 oz. tubes that's very good - the name is Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock and comes in SPF 30 and 45 (and maybe others). It's not cheap, about $8, but very good - UVA / UVB and not greasy.

I double bagged ours and put it in the middle of our luggage and had no problem with leakage. I've also heard there is sunscreen wipes but I have'nt come across them. Linda :)
