I am getting married at the Wedding Pavilion and our rehearsal dinner will be located at the Summerhouse. MY fiance's mom does not want to spring for the bar and I believe that you only get tea for a beverage, well I do not like tea at all, is Gasparilla close enough to where I could run over and get a bottled water? O r is there another placeclose by that would be open in Nov between 6-8 pm?
Thanks

I would think that you would get soda, tea, coffee, and water as part of your package.

Tea and Coffee come with the meal, but it is extra for soda and bottled water, which his parents do not want to pay for, so any help with proximity would help.

I don't know what your budget is like, but maybe you and your fiancee can pay to include water and soda. If it were me, I wouldn't want to be running out getting drinks while my guests are sitting at the table. Just my opinion. good luck and congrats on your wedding! :)

Won't ice water be offered as well? I would just drink that if it were me.

It would be more elegant than chugging from a bottle as well as much more gracious. ;)

I am not sure if ice water...the other thing is that sometimes the water at disney tastes like sulfur and is just plain nasty- If it was filtered ice water I would be fine, as that is my drink of choice

Gasparilla's is not really close but not that far. The store in the hotel would be closer.

I agree with glass-slippers. If this is important to you, then offer to pay for it (or find another generous relative to do so--perhaps your folks or an aunt or grandparent?) I think if you offered, his parents may spring for it after all. ;)

I'm sure if you just want some bottled water though, you should bring a bottle with you. Not a case for everyone, but a bottle for the bride would probably be OK.

I agree with chamonix about bringing some bottles of water with you. Maybe you can do that ahead of time? Or call Disney and ask to have bottled water for you there? I would think they could do something extra for the bride.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

I am paid out- his family will only pay for the rehearsal dinner and have griped about doing that- all while placing numerous demands on what we do with the rest that my family is paying for- I am frustrated and am trying to figure out something to make it work for me, since they have said they do not want to pay for that.

Maybe you could arrange for pitchers of lemonade as well for a reasonable cost? How many people will be at the dinner? If under 20 I would imagine that four pitchers of lemonade--even at $5-10 a piece would be plenty, and that wouldn't break the bank.

BTW--You're lucky they ar epaying for that. We had our rehearsal dinner in our house--in-laws wanted to spend under $10 a person, which in NJ meant Chuck-E-Cheese or Mc Donald's. Just what I needed 20 people in our 600 sf apartment the night before my wedding, with me taking care of all the food, preparation, and cleanup.
