Just wondering if anyone has stayed at the Summerhill Suites at Marriott Village at Lake Buena Vista. It is part of a gated communty of resorts that includes the Courtyard and Fairfield Inn.
Would be interested to know if the suites are comfortable for a family of four w/ 2 teen kids?

1. Clean resort and rooms?

2. Are the beds comfy?

3. Does the Air con work well?

4. Is the comp breakfast okay?

5. Easy access to and from Disney (with our car).

Thanks for any and all help. Much appreciated!!:wave2:

I'm wondering if you mean the SpringHill Suites at Marriott Village/Little Lake Bryan?

I can address a few of your questions -- we stayed at the Courtyard but also looked at the SpringHill Suites when we were there. These "suites" are not 2 seperate rooms - the bed area is seperated from the living area by a short wall. If you are looking for more privacy the Courtyard offers King suites (2 rooms) but your teens will be sleeping on a small sofa bed!

The resort it self was very clean and all 3 pool areas kept neat. A/C worked great. You are only a few minutes from Downtown Disney.

If you are looking for more space, we also stayed at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas. CPGV is also very close to Disney. We rented a 2 bedroom condo thru hotelkingdom.com for under $90/night. There are many threads to search for more info.

Good luck with your planning!

I preferred the Courtyard also. I have stayed at all 3 hotels in the Village.

I thought the Springhill room felt the smallest. The suite had one bed and a pull out sofa.

The breakfast was good, bed was comfy, A/C was working. It is a very quick trip to the parks.

We like staying at the Village. When we moved down here we stayed at the Fairfield for a week.

I would rate them

1. Courtyard
2. Fairfield close to number 1 but prefer the pool at the Courtyard.
3. SpringHill.

....safteymom & 2minnies. You both provided me with great info. I checked hotelkingdom.com and can get the Cypress Point Grand Villas for $92 per night. This may provide us with quite a bit of room.

2minnies, were you satified with this resort? It seems like a good bargain. The only thing that is not provided is housekeeping. But we will be leaving early and arriving back at our room later in the evening, so housekeeping may not be that important. With a full kitchen we can eat a good breakfast in the morning before we leave for the parks. Would just like to know if you were happy with your stay at Cypress Pointe.

Thanks!:wave2:

We really did enjoy our stay. I didn't mind not having the housekeeping since the kids just pulled up their sheets and bedspreads in the bedroom and closed the closet door. There is a broom, dustpan and vac in the unit if you want to use it (ha!). I did pick up some Clorox wipes for quick cleanups in the kitchen and bath.
You mentioned you had two teens - the 2nd bedroom only has twin beds at this resort. It was fine for us, but my girls are only 6 and 10. There are 2 tvs - living room and master.
The unit we were in was very clean, however the furniture in the living room did show some wear. I'd be happy to forward you a few pics if you would like. Just send me a pm w/your email addy.
There are many recent threads on the resort if you want to search.

Enjoy!

I have a question about breakfast at the Courtyard. Does anyone know if breakfast is included like it is at the Fairfield?

Courtyard does not includes breakfast, however they do have a restaurant on site that does serve. We had a suite with fridge/microwave so we didn't try it.
