Hi,
I have booked a 2 room suite at the Summerfield Suites in Lake Buena Vista through HotelKingdom, a pretty good deal. What I am wondering is has anyone stayed here? If so, is it possible to walk to DownTown Disney? According to HotelKingdon's fact sheet it says you can walk to it plus many other places. But I look on the map and it shows it to be a bit of ways away:confused:
Maybe it just looks far away on map?
Anyone who has info on this Hotel would really help me out :D
I have been wondering about renting a car or not, if we can walk to DD than we could get on Disney Transportation from there (Have AP's) Please let me know, Thanks;)
Opps sorry:eek: wrong site should have put under Orlando Hotels

and it was a great hotel. In fact, we stayed there for 2 days and then moved to the All Star Music and wished we could have stayed at Summerfield Suites - lots of room, very clean and comfortable. It was close to DD, but it would be quite an ambitious walk as I remember. I don't think I'd want to do that walk and then be looking forward to walking in the parks all day, and worse, walking back to the hotel at night after being in the parks all day. We drove since we had our car there.

Have a great trip!

We stayed at the Summerfield Suites this past September. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was great. We were travelling with 3 small children and a Grandmother (plus my wife and I). The rooms were clean and the living room was a decent size (not huge but accomodating). The full kitchen was a plus as we went to the Winn-Dixie (which was a block away from the hotel - very convenient) and stocked up on the essentials (juice boxes, bottles of watyer for the parks, snacks, diapers, etc..) Plenty of restaurants around (mostly chains...Chile's, Perkins, Friday's, etc..)

The free breakfast was great (not a full breakfast) and had a decent selection (cereals, bagels, fruit, coffee - the breakfast essentials). Also, the pool was great..plenty of room and the kids loved the kiddie pool. The hot tub was also a great thing especially after long days in the parks. Overall, I would give the hotel a thumbs up and would consider staying there again.

As far as DTD, Its a pretty short car ride, but I wouldn't want to walk it...the rental car is a must.

Have fun!!!

Ditto on the other posts. Stayed there a couple years ago and were very happy...and I would not want to do that walk!
