Summer too hot for dessert party????

We did this on June 21st and it was nice. The area had lots of ceiling fans and was cool. The desserts were fresh and plentiful, nothing melted. It was really nice to sit and enjoy some desserts while we waited for the fireworks. When they made the 5 minute announcement, we went to the railing and watched the fireworks.

my husband and I went June 8. I didn't notice anything being "melty" and the drinks were cold. We had eaten at Trails End (buffet) for lunch, and other than drinks I don't think we ate anything else before the party. We went last November and I remember trying to "get my money's worth". This time I just ate what I liked (didn't try as many new things) and considered the cost as price for the view. In November I sat at my table and watched and had a decent view - but my table was one of the closest to the railing. In June more people got up and went to the rail right away (very few went up in November) so this time I did go stand. I wasn't going to, but DH was recording the fireworks, but was trying to conserve space by not spreading out the legs of his tripod, which made the tripod less sturdy. There were little boys playing (pushing and chasing) near him (before the fireworks started) so I decided to go stand next to him and help protect him from getting bumped. We would probably go again. November it was just the 2 of us, this trip we brought the boys along (16, 18, 19 & 20) and none of them were interested in going to the party.

Are fruit and healthier options available ?

I would not mind a few choclate covered strawberries - but do they also have fresh fruit slices or less sugary items ?

Thanks !

As far as fruit went - they had the chocolate dipped strawberries (yummy) and a platter of watermelon, and other melon. The other desserts were a variety of mini-tarts (some were fruit tarts), cheesecakes, some brownies, cookies and rice crispies. I think they had some creme brulee (I didnt like it last year so didnt look for it this year), cannolis, and I don't know what else. They had tiramisu in Nov - didn't look for it in June. For drinks they had lemonade, milk, coffee, probably tea - no soda. Last November I parked my scooter somewhat near my table, this year they had a parking area for the scooters. So they are adusting things as they go along.

We did this last July and are returning this July. I didn't notice anything getting "melty" or gross. In fact, the chocolate-covered strawberries disappeared as fast as they could put the trays out! The desserts are okay, nothing you'd be tempted to make yourself sick on. But it's nice to have a place to sit and relax for a few minutes before the fireworks, and rehydrate with some unlimited beverage options.
