Hello
. Would you rather go 1st week of Aug or the last week of aug / beginning of sept ( before labour day)? What's the weather like? Crowd levels?

TIA
Nicole

Kids-no Kids?

If this was a no kids trip I would say later in August or early September would be less crowds. By then, all schools should be back in session. All passes are unblocked, so the weekends and some evenings during the week may see some heavy traffic, but during the day you should see some pretty short wait times for rides. Weather can be pleasant to downright hot and sticky-but expect at least upper 80's to mid 90's most years.

That being said, early August is pretty good too. Our summer trips are usually early August. Crowds are really not that bad, just hit the park for rope drop and you can get a lot done before the crowds start picking up around 11. Go back to room and rest during hot part of the day, come back for parade or show, or more rides in the evening. I think end of August through September is still going to give you hot to very hot weather.

Either way, have a great trip!

trip would be with kids, but we live in BC and they do not go back to school until after labour day. Thanks for the info.

We're in BC as well and we've done the last week of August. To be honest, it's actually my favourite time of year to go as long as you leave before the Labour Day Weekend.

Also, I would keep in mind that during the last week in August/beginning of September, the park is transitioning to HallowenTime. So the Haunted Mansion will likely be closed to have the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay installed. The park has also shifted to post-summer hours, so it means shorter operating days and reduced entertainment (assuming the past is repeated this year).

It might be worth skimming through the historic hours to get a sense of the differences between the two time periods. HydroGuy has a nice thread that provides links to the wdwinfo calendars.
