To the original poster, I think the key is you said you were "almost addicted". Well, when you're all the way addicted, temperature and crowds won't matter!
I personally like hot weather, but no one accused me of being normal. This will be our second summer, but our traditional trip has been February. I justify it with the AP. It's not much more than a 7 day hopper, got a great AP discount at AKL last year and Contemporary this year, and I can go twice a year instead of once! Those 300 plus day countdowns are so depressing!
Going more means not having to go commando and enjoying the pool, resort, e rides till 1:00am, and sleeping in the next morning!
