Summer tent and popup camping ?

stayed at Fort many times but never during summer, usually in November couple times early April so just the morning / night was a little cool and warmer during the day.

We will be there June 5-12 I know it will hot...we have Ac in popup and will have a fan maybe portable ac in tent haven't decided yet. The older 2 teens will be in tent only sleeping we have the popup to get out of heat and will have a Canopy over tent to help with direct heat as well, but I'm wondering about bedding in the tent? Not planning on sleeping bags..I will have air mattresses so would sheets be cooler and light blanket, down comforter, just sheets? Does it cool off a little at night?

When we stayed in Aug. - Sept. we had air mattress and the kids had cots. Used jersey knit sheets with fan and that was plenty for us.

We stayed at the Fort during the 3rd week of June 2014. Our older kids stayed in a tent with a portable AC, air mattresses, and the canopy over the tent. The kids had jersey sheets on the air mattresses and just light blankets. It worked out really well. We would do it again.
