So,
On behalf of all that are visiting the DLR this summer, I apologize.

I was at the resort last night and Fantasmic should be canceled until the dragon is up and running. Seeing Maleficent standing up there with fire makes no sense, it is a real let down. So, I am sorry visitors.

The new fireworks just don't cut it. There is nothing Magical about it, except for Dumbo which is cool. Wishes, will be back at the end of summer thank goodness.

However, the new electric parade was great!!!

Amen!
I thought I was a naysayer for thinking that Summer Nightastic was a let down.
We all stood there after the fireworks show had ended waiting for the finale...
Oh..that was it.

I agree Dumbo was cool to see along with Tink flying over the castle but I'd rather see a fabulous foreworks show than Dumbo.

The lights came on after the fireworks show and many people around us couldn't believe how short the show was and disappointing.
A Dad next to us told his kids "don't worry- it's not over til the lights come on..oh..it's over."

We couldn't even see Fantasmic since it was so crowded. People were saving spots at 6pm!

They added an 11:30pm show last week but my 5 and 7 yr old can barely stay up past 10pm.

ELP- we didn't think was worth the wait for a new float- the lines were so long that we were lucky to ride 10 rides per day. Even with FP running it was hard to ride many.

I think I'll stick with taking my kids out of school and visiting in September from now on.

Hmmm...well do you think ppl would be more disappointed w/ Fantasmic having a missing dragon or no show at all until it's fixed and who knows when that will be. I mean I personally don't mind the absense of the dragon, even though it is going to look super awesome, and waiting in anticipation will just make the arrival even better and more exciting. I've seen the show plenty of times w/out the dragon & I still think the show is fantastic!

Remember Dreams Come True will be back after Summer.......Wishes is at WDW. :)

Ok, Fantasmic was good with what they have added so far. But, not having the dragon just made it seem incomplete. It is like not having Jafar turning into the genie at the end.... oh well.

I enjoyed every one of the new nighttime offerings.

The fireworks were neat, and if I'd only seen them once I would have found them to be spectacular. But I saw them via cell phone video first, then the first half (right before Dumbo) on Friday before they were called off, then almost the whole show (minus Dumbo) on Saturday, then the whole show WITH Dumbo on Sunday, and then the show from the Fantasmic viewing area on Monday. So I'm a bit tired of the show myself, but it's great to see just once. I heard lots of clapping and kids were so excited over the confetti on Main Street. I really don't understand why everyone says it's awful. Actually, after all the hype and spending a few hours trying to see him, the only thing that underwhelmed me WAS Dumbo. :flower3:

Fantasmic was better than I'd expected without the dragon. It seems awfully selfish to me, to say that the show shouldn't be run without her--probably 15,000 people per night take the effort to see the show. Tourists need love too. :) I thought it made sense enough as-is (though I can see where tourists may be disappointed). And am looking forward to how spectacular it will be with the dragon.

I can't really speak for the Electrical Parade since I hadn't seen it in years, but it seemed nice overall.

The cute little light show at Pixie Hollow wasn't anything outstanding, but it was a nice, quiet thing to do.

I even heard some of the TLT teen music club--the live music on the weekend was very nice to listen to while waiting in line for Nemo after fireworks. It made the wait a lot more fun, and helped me feel like I was doing something besides just standing in a queue.

So while I don't think that the new nighttime offerings are all perfect, I think they're pleasant enough.

We liked the new Electrical Parade too! However, we were disappointed with the fireworks! The wishes firework display was much better! We have never seen Fatasmic before, so we liked it!

We only got to see Magical when we were there the first week of June and I have to agree that is is subpar for Disney.

Umm craptastic. We are here right now. F! Was ok, no dragon = no finale.
Magical fireworks? Nope. The singer (Eden espinosa) was harsh/sharp sounding. Some notes I plugged my ears. Then Dumbo was a no show tonite. I am so tired of all the tinker bell all over the place. Give me more mickey!
I have to say I was looking forward to summer nightastic. I am so disappointed :sad1:
Sorry 'bout the rant.

Hi all,
I'm new here but wanted to give my two cents.
We were at Disnelyand Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We really enjoyed the Electrical Parade, as always. We had great seating and only waited about 20 minutes to see it. After it was over we stayed and watched the fireworks from DCA. The next night we watched the fireworks at DL. I enjoyed them, although they were not near as great as Believe, that is the best fireworks show ever.

Also, although it was quite crowded, we rode a lot of rides using fast pass and going at opening. We rode everything we wanted, and some things 3 to 5times. Don't let the crowds scare you off if you want to go, just plan for them!

Maybe it's time to give the 'big' shows a rest and just let the guests enjoy the park at night.
(let the flames begin):scared:

Remember Dreams Come True will be back after Summer.......Wishes is at WDW. :)

Thank goodness, I was wondering for a micro-sec if he meant they were replacing Remember with Wishes. I can't wait to see Remember Dreams Come True again - no other fireworks show has even compared IMO

Our group really enjoyed the ELP. We had quite a few kids in our group and the snails/bugs would come right up to us. They thought it was hilarious! My little three year old niece was waving her light up toy and yelling, "Snow White! Ovah heyeh!" They really interacted with the kids, and that is a memory I will always treasure.

I was kind of "meh" on the fireworks as well. My favorite will always be the show we saw back in 2000 for the 45th anniversary. I don't remember the name, but it started out with "Star light, star bright..." and there was a woman's voice as well.

haha, seems like DCA is soo much better than DL!!! :P

Fantasmic cancelled isnt a good idea for many reasons. A) it pulls people from rides. B) gives more show options C) to avoid people complaining and demanding their ticket to be comp. Either way, the show must go on.

Fireworks, its always been meh, but hey, i still think its magical... certainly a different scene... :)

I agree. RDCT is my favorite fireworks show ever. We'll be going back to DLR in the Fall and I'm so excited that it's returning. :)

I was not thrilled with the new fireworks show either. It was a bit of a letdown after Remember. Remember will be running the next time we go so I'm happy about that!!

Ya I loved that I one too! It was "Believe" I liked It better than RDCT except for the segment with WD speaking :) that gave me gooosebumps and tears:wizard:

We saw the Fireworks and, yeah, they're OK but nothing will ever compare to Believe!! (as has been said)

Looking forward to ELP & Fantasmic, after the dragon is up and running.

Hey, no one said anything about the cool blinking balloons!!!

At $12 a piece, no one in our group got one! :sad2: But they were really cool looking.
