Well, I just got off the phone with Hoofbeat. It sounds very nice.
My DD has a few questions for your DD, clh2. If you get a chance, would you please ask her
1) How was the food? Did you ever get any kind of choice at lunch or dinner? DD was okay with what was described for breakfast
2) Do people usually come with a buddy? Did you notice a lot of people paired off already upon arrival, or were there more than a couple of girls that came without knowing anyone else? We don't think it likely that my DD will be able to convince someone to come with her, the camp being about 3 1/2-4 hours from our town. And she's nervous about being left out. A related question, and I guess there's not a politically correct way of asking this, but I hope you know what we're wondering about...are the typical campers "snooty" or "friendly"? (forgive me, that felt weird to ask....) Basically she's just worried about fitting in and being accepted. DD's not a loner at school--has lots of friends--just a worrier.
3) When did you shower? morning or before bed? How much time did you have to get ready in the morning and at bedtime? Only a 13YO girl would worry about this
There are only a few weeks left with openings, so we're hoping that DD will make her decision SOON.
Thanks so much!
