Summer flights

I believe OP mentioned flying to MCO on August 2nd? We're also flying down on Southwest that date and I just noticed that the nonstop fares have been reduced. They've been hovering between about $175-270 per person but are down to $109 today. If you paid more than that it might be worth it to try for a credit for the difference?

I can't believe how many $109 flights are available now for August out of Buffalo. If only the flights back to Buffalo would come down in price over labour day weekend. Fingers crossed. :goodvibes

Has anyone flown Sunwing??

We flew Sunwing in January. Service was great. They gave the kids all little backpacks with activities in them. Food was free and good - English muffin/egg or cheese croissant for breakfast and flatbread pizza at lunch. It was really cramped, and I'm not a fan of their carryon baggage limits (we do carryon only, and their weight limit was like 1/3 of normal airlines) but for the money we would book them again. We were about $380/person direct from Toronto - but we booked on a Sat to leave the following Wednesday.

I just booked my $109 each way flights! :cool1: I'm not going to Disney but it seems this price point is the only one available in the Florida destinations. Cars are cheaper to get from Orlando too. I just need to get away... :beach:

Darn, wish I saw this earlier :( Thanks though.

Hey Sunshine, you know you can modify your flights and get a credit with no surcharge with Southwest, don't you? You have 1 year from date of purchase to use the credit.

This is our first time going during the summer - I can't believe the cost of flights!
We usually fly out of Buffalo and even SW prices are high! We happen to be leaving on Aug 2 which is the long weekend here, but still didn't expect such high fares. We have never paid this much.

AC and WJ currently have a "Summer" promo - which isn't really since it doesn't include the month of August.
Will prices go down? Or am I stuck paying these high prices?
I am waiting to book to see if prices drop, or I get a promo code so fingers crossed.

I hear you, I need cheap flights for 12 people!
We are scheduled to leave Sept. 5 until the 13th - Buffalo is not an option and not any cheaper.

It angers me when you see prices on West Jet or Air Canada that give you $276 rt right now.. let me book at that price now!

That time of the year gives us 2 options Westjet or AC.
I would like to see Canjet flight but not holding my breath.

Patiently watching/stalking AC, Westjet, Kayak, Airfare Watchdog etc.

Air Canada has a twitter announced sale right now YYZ/ MCO.. $184 each way.. Fly up to Sept 3/14

Twitter exclusive #sale! Take advantage of savings on select US destinations such as LAS, MCO & FLL. http://t.co/cFalvPteyu

It's been on for about 3 days now, so some flights have sold out on sale priced seats. But if you are flying between now & have flexible dates - it might be worth a look. Fly on Sat/Sun/Mon/ Fri. If I recall correctly.

Thanks, I had seen that sale on Twitter but we are locked into those dates.
I also think it is BS, to pay for Luggage.
Plus we had issues with Air Canada last summer, not sure I really want to fly with them again..... but might have too

I know you mentioned that Buffalo was not an option, but could it be? SW has direct flights going down on your date for $109.
