Summer Fireworks Show

So I saw the fireworks last night and other than Tink and Dumbo, I was kind of disappointed. I had first seen the fireworks show a few weeks ago, but only the fireworks part, too far away to see the castle, and I really loved it. Last night, I was determined to see the whole thing and was happy to have the castle and flying parts, but it was a different fireworks show and in my opinion, not as good.

The first time we saw it, it had lots of parts themed around rides at DL (I specifically remember a HM, Pirates, and Star Wars theme in sections) but last night (and I think this is the new summer show, Magic) it was kind of cheesy, and totally based off "When you Wish Upon A Star". Don't get me wrong, I love the song, but it was a few songs like that, all inspirational type songs that just weren't as entertaining as the ride themed ones.

So, does anyone know what the first fireworks show was called and when it will be back?

The fireworks that has the Disney theme attractions and shows embedded in the show is called "Remember Dreams Come True" fireworks. This is the best firework show at the DLR.

RDCT runs during January to May, & September to November.

First time we saw it we thought the same thing but it really grew on us. We love the girl that sings the main part of the song (Eden Espinosa from Wicked fame). Believe me its alot better than Wishes at WDW. I do agree though that RDCT is the best by far.

Oh no, that Magical or whatever it's called show is what they have for the summer season :confused3 !?! Dumbo and Tinkerbell are the only good things about that show, Remember Dreams Come True is by far a superior show, that should run during the summer season not Magical.

I have never seen the Magical show since we tend to not go in summer months but we are going this month. Does Dumbo take the same flight pattern as Tink?
I was thinking of trying IASW for the show this time. We have done the hub a lot and wanted to try something different. So, wondering if I will see Dumbo from IASW viewing area.

I've always found the Magical fireworks show to be pretty dull compared to the Remember...Dreams Come True one. I'm not sure if it's the soundtrack, or the organization of the show, I really couldn't tell you :confused3 I sucked it up and waited to watch it during my AP Star Tours Preview because they were keeping it open until closing, and it was cancelled due to high winds at the higher altitudes :headache: But now I'll have to watch it during our July trip, and hopefully my opinion will change!! :thumbsup2

I hav to agree that Magical is a poor excuse for a fireworks show. In case you are wondering, the reason that Remember Dreams Come True doesn't run during the summer is that it costs a lot more and during the off season they only run fireworks on the weekends, during the summer they run every day, so it is more cost effective to do a cheaper show.
