Received an exclusive email today that shared summer discounts for room rates coming to the public beginning 3/17. If you stay 6 nights, or more you receive the higher discount listed.
1-5 nights you will receive the cheaper discount (I have listed second)

Dates available for this promotion:
6/15-8/28/2014

Deluxe: 35%/30%
Moderate: 25%/20%
Value: 20%/15%

Typing from my phone so I hope this makes sense!

That deal is already available for booking if you have a Disney Visa!:thumbsup2

No visa here, can't wait for it to open to the public. I wonder if I should try to book something now and apply the discount after?
It won't matter if you book now and try to get the discount "applied" later. You won't get a jump on anyone by doing that. There are a limited number of rooms available at the selected resorts for each day of the promotion and it's first-come-first-served.

When you have an existing reservation and you want to "apply" the discount to it, the reservation actually gets re-booked with the discount under the same confirmation number. But having an existing reservation doesn't give you an advantage. You don't move to the front of the line and they don't just give you the discount because you already have a reservation. If someone else called before you and got the last discounted room at your resort for the time that you're there, you can either change resorts or dates or both.

If you book this deal with your Disney visa and stay 6 nights you get an extra 5% for a total of 40% off

Misstdianna I would go ahead and book a room and when the deal becomes public you can call and see if it is available. Others have reported in the past that they were able to get the deal applied to their existing reservation.

Thanks for the info. I will just wait then and book when I find out the exact discounts.

It's up to 35% off of the room rate if you book select deluxe or villa resorts for more than 6 nights. There is no 40% discount. I think you misread something in your own link.

I can't wait for Monday to come! That's the first time I've ever said that. :rotfl2: I have an existing reservation at Pop from 8/15-8/23. Will I have to call to get the deal or can I get it online? I am thinking that I might be able to upgrade to a moderate for very little more than I am currently paying at Pop.....although, I booked it with a PIN and it was a pretty good deal. Looks like a little price break on tickets when booked as a package. Anyway, super excited!

If you have an existing reservation, you will need to call so that it can be changed over. You can't make the change online. However, you probably could book with the new discount online and then cancel the existing reservation later if the phone lines for CRO are jammed.
