After reading how hot and humid it is in the summertime, I'm starting to question going then. However, is it "less" hot and humid in the western Caribbean or the eastern Caribbean? Or, would it be better just to go in January, take the colder weather, and the lower cruise fare?

Thanks! ;)

My vote is go in January, and kill two birds with one stone....you'll have more decent weather plus get it for a lower price...
:)
Otherwise, you'll be cooked at either in a western or a eastern sunlight...::yes:: oh my!

Good Luck!

Sounds like that may be a good idea, we'd save $2200, or $1200 while upgrading the second stateroom to a verandah. But, how is the Western Caribbean weather in January? Only problem with this is we'd have to cancel our NYE trip (can't make 2 trips within 2 weeks of eachother!).

Any opinions on summer cruising? Would you opt for porthole rooms instead of verandahs since it may be too hot to use them?

How hot is too hot? We were thinking of going first week of June (western) to avoid the kids missing school days again. We're from Texas though... will it really be that hot to US? LOL Just wondering.... everything I have read about avg temp is mentioning 80's during June. I'm sure it's more humid- but would it really feel hotter than Texas heat 110+ in the summer here? If so, I need to know... that's about as much as we can take. LOL

Not sure how "hot" it really is since I've never been that far south in the summer, but from sources I've found that caribbean weather tends to be in the 80's with 80% humidity in June. Are you looking at the June 4th sailing?

Hey you guys come with us. We're sailing on the June 5th Western and need company. Have only found one other family going with us.

I was going to go with June 5th Western sailing- but changed my mind to Feb 5th Eastern (also during kids school break so no school days missed). Shoot, would have been nice to meet you there on the June 5th sailing!
We might end up booking that also though- I really want to do the Western cruise!!!
