Summer Challenge...

Well I was down 4.5 lbs this week. Sure its good but I'm not getting too excited yet. We will see how next week is. I'm tired of getting excited about 4 lbs then it comes back. :sad2: Its like I'm losing the same 4 lbs over and over again. I think that puts me at .5/30 again. I really don't think it will be possible to make that 30 now. :( At this point I'd be happy to see 15 off by then but I'll leave it at 30 and shoot for it.

I will stay OP with WW journaling and kick up the exercise this week. Getting back on track with exercise and journaling every day is 2 of my goals the other is to get my water in. :banana:

Melissa - I know your pain. I have been back and back to the doctor to check my thyroid. My mother, my father's sister and both grandmothers have all had thyroid problems so I am afraid I am next. Although my thyroid is *slow* right now, it is not in a problem range so I am not getting medicine. I will be tested in another 6 months to see where it is then. It is very frustrating because she (my doc) says that I will most likely have a problem, but the longer you can avoid taking the medicine the better. So I struggle and struggle with my weight, staying On Plan with ww and exercising like a mad woman and I see tiny losses. I guess that is better than gaining. Keep up the good work with journaling and exercise, eventually it has got to come off. That is what I keep telling myself. Also that if we didn't have little gains and plateaus, the weight would jump right back on. Not sure if it is true, but it keeps me from pulling my hair out somedays.

I do have a bit to celebrate now tho - after 3 weeks of gaining and losing the same amount, I am down 1.6. for a total of 6.4/30. I doubt I will make 30 by my BIL's june wedding (IN FLORIDA woohoo!), but any loss is good.

I hope you can lose more with your changing numbers. I suspect mine may be raising but not out of normal yet. I did not ask what the levels were but I think I will ask that when I go back for blood pressure follow up. I checked my bp sunday and it was in normal range which is good so the med and dose they have me on are working fine for now. The dr. had said she would see about getting me a diruretic if it was normal but we will see. I'd almost prefer to do it on my own because I know the figures on gaining the weight you can lose on those. I know in recent years they have lowered the levels from what the standards used to be. I guess now a level of 3.0 or higher on TSH should be considered possible thryoid problemmatic. Plus there are 2 other numbers I haven't got a clue if the ran those. She had put in for a lot of blood work cholestrol and CBC among others. I didn't read it all before handing it to office gal. But I'll definitely ask if I can see the results. I don't know if they tested me for Insilin resistance I'd be surprised if the didn't since they know in my chart that I am at risk for diabetes with my mom having it my risks are increased not to mention the obesity.

Woohoo on the weight loss. I lost this week but I had lost 4 lbs before only to gain it back. :guilty: so we will see if I can keep it off this week and add to it.


I added 4.5 to my last check in and I was wrong it should be 1.5 not .5. Sot that is good. :Pinkbounc I don't think I'll make my 30 lbs by then but I'll be happy with 15. :) And hopefully can be down 30-40 by my trip in October. :)

I started slow too. It takes a while to get into the 'habit' of watching what you eat (and it really is adopting a habit). Just keep with it, and you will find it can get easier after awhile.

I am hoping this 'summer challenge' will evolve into the 'end of summer challenge' when it is over. I put down 15.0 pounds for the summer challenge, and I would like to do another 15.0 by the END of summer too.

BUT there are still almost 2 months left in the summer challenge, so hang in there! It can happen! And 15 pounds is more reasonable (although I tend to try for 5 pounds a month, so that would be more like 10 pounds, but HEY that would be good too!).

Lost another 2.2 this week for a total of 9/25 pounds. I have a LONG way to go still.....
 

Hiya is it ok for me to join even if I am in the uk?

I would love to lose another 30lb at least I have lost 20 so far but I will count from zero again.

I want to be slimmer for when I get married in a few years plus for florida next year
 
I've been cheating - birthday cake - won't weigh in till the end of the week.

I definitely will be working on 15-20 lbs during summer too. I'd love to see about 40-50 total between now and end of October for my vacation. I'd be able to get back into my pre-pregnancy clothes and they'd probably be a little loose with 40-50 lbs off. :) :cheer2: :Pinkbounc Just gotta keep the motivation up. Yesterday I got in a workout 45 minutes w/ the 3 mile WATP. Will certainly try for one today while the kids nap may get dh to do Tae Bo with me.

I would like to join also. I would like to lose 12 pounds during June,July and August!
 
I had another good weigh in tonight. I am down another 2 lbs. for a total of

18.4/30!!!!!
 
Just got back from my weigh in and WOO HOO!!!! Total loss of 6.2 pounds. Put me down for 6.2/15........

lost another 2.5. I'm now at 13/25 pounds.
 
I am finally seeing weight loss again after a stall. I am down 1 pound for 4.5/20.
I have been exercising for two weeks now and watching food intake but seemed to be at a stall. Hopefully, now things will continue to drop.
Best to all this weekend.
