JJsmama - I really haven't done much exercising yet. It's been hard to find the time. What happened to your achilles tendon? I partially ruptured mine a few years ago and I still have problems with it when it's cold out. Take your recovery slow and steady!!

I really don't know what happened. There was never a moment when I heard or felt it go POP. I must have been fairly bad though because I've had pain and swelling with it for 6-8 weeks. At first I thought it needed more stretching. That made it worse. Then I rested and only wore certain shoes. That has helped.
Research shows that this injury happens a lot to women who wear heals and then switch to sneakers to work out. That describes me pretty well.
