Are your kids in any kind of summer camp? If so, what kind?

DD9 just finished up a jr ranger camp at a local state park. She loved it, swimming, archery, kayaking, rock climbing, archaeology. It was awesome. She can't wait to go again next year.

DD4 took a half day princess/dance camp. It was perfect for her. Ballet, tap, crafts, and movies. She loved it, and was so worn out she'd fall asleep on the way home.

DS6 will be taking a lego camp in a few weeks. I'm sure he'll love it, anything with legos must be great!

DD4 will also be taking a cheerleading camp at her Nanny's house soon, too.

And they will be in vacation bible school, not a camp, but something they'll enjoy.

Nothing for the two little ones, but they don't know the difference.

Just picked up DD this afternoon from her Gifted program camp- it was for rising 6th graders. They were at a small university for a week, taking courses and having fun. DD took Biology and Geocaching.

She has done soccer camp in the past, but this summer we signed her up for a 3v3 tournament instead. It is over a 4 weekend period, and she and 3 of her Challenge soccer buddies formed a team, the Kick Chicks. It should be a lot of fun, and it will help her to really keep up her speed and passing skills.

We have a couple of camps going on this summer. Christian(14) is attending a summer daycamp for kids with severe mental disabilities and at the end of July he & I will go to a Christian camp up in the mountains, first time at an overnight camp!:cool1:

Eleni (16) will be attending a week-long HipHop camp in July and then will be teaching in a summer music/dance/theater camp the next week.

Let the good times roll!

DD just go back from GS resident camp. This is her fourth year. Before she went to camp this year she was a summer riding academy 3 days a week. Its a work/study program. Now that she's back from camp, she'll be back to the riding academy.

She loves summer camp.

My daughter is going to a Jazz Camp for seven days this year. She also goes to a camp for gay and lesbian teenagers. She started going there when she was 13 years old and loves it!

My 9-year old went to a 6-day horse camp. She had been to the day camp the year before and LOVED it. Boy, did I miss her!

My 10 yr old ds is going to sleepaway camp for the first time this summer. He is totally psyched! It's a therapeutic camp for kids with social, learning and behavioral challenges, and they get to work on social skills and problem solving while doing all the typical camp stuff. I'm really excited for him! It's for about 3 weeks.

DS7 will be going to two weeks (3 hrs a day) of Science Summer Camp (Chemistry) in July. Then in August, DD5 will be taking a week of Dance and Arts/Crafts summer camp (2.5 hrs a day) at the local dance studio.

My son goes to Taekwondo summer camp. This year he said he didn't want to go since it was the same camp as last year but so far so good. No complaining.

DS-11 volunteered at a Cub Scout Day camp for a week helping at the BB gun range. He is going to a sleepaway camp for 6 nights . He will zip line, high ropes , rock wall, canoeing, etc.
Plus, a week at Boy Scout camp and a week at Camp Grandma.:thumbsup2

DD-8 just went to her first overnight camp.(2 nights). She had such a great time she asked to go back for another week in August. (:cool1:Same week DS is at grandmas). She is going for a week to girl scout camp, too.
