Summer Camp

Has anyone sent their Aspie child to a sleep away summer camp? How did your child do? Was it a special camp for children with disabilities? I'm thinking about sending DS to one this summer and would like to know how other kids have done.

My ds went to scout camp, and my dh went as one of the leaders so that he knew how well my son did. He did great.
He has also spent a week alone with his grandparents nearly every summer, which I think is a good place to start to know how well they do away from home and parents!

I've looked into a couple of camps that cater to kids with aspergers, but the cost was outragious ($3,000). I know that he could definately benefit from the program, but there's no way I can fund it. He will be going to a week at Sea World camp (day camp).
