We are planning our first trip to WDL June 8-15. Will the kids in Cali still be in school that week? i had read somewhere that DL does "Grad nites" whatever that is.. and that could possibly interfear a little bit but i was hoping we could squeeze in there before all the kids are out of school.

Do yall have any idea? thanks in advance. im learning alot from these boards. we are WDW vets but decided to change it up and head West this year. =) So im in all new territory!

Grad nights will be taking place in DCA this year, so that park will close to the public early on those nights. During your projected dates, it looks like June 12, 13, and 14 will be grad nights. As for when schools get out, that will be highly variable. We live in Northern California, and my kids are done on June 6. My sister lives half an hour away and her kids are in a different school district which will go at least a week longer than ours. From what I can see of some of the southern California school districts, their last days are anytime from the end of May to the middle of June.

ohhh ok. Well we were planning to to DCA as well as DL.. but i guess it would be better to do DCA one of the first nights we are there maybe Monday the 10th or Tues the 11th... that way we will have enough time at DCA. Carsland is a big attraction for our boys so i want to make sure we have enough time there.. and aren't over run by unruley teenagers! lol

thanks so much for your feedback!

Gradnights are after the park closes (at least they used to be), so you won't be over run by teens. But generally the park closes earlier than DL anyway, so you probably won't notice.

They mix-in now and then get the park after hours too. So it will be noticeably crowded with teens.
