summer bay resort

I have done a search and not found much on Summer Bay resort. Anyone stayed there? How is it? I also see that there is a lake any idea how fishing is? Any other places easy to bass fish close by< don't want to get a guide if I can help it, too much $$$$$.

If this is not the correct link, then just search Trip Advisor and you should be able to find what you're looking for without a problem.

We stayed at the resort a few years ago and liked it well enough. It's not the fanciest resort in the area or the most convenient to Disney, but it is pretty nice. Our 2br condo did not have a king size bed in the master bedroom and we missed that. The master br was also a bit on the small side.

The have 3br pool houses that are very nice with two master suites. We have a reservation for next year in one of those.

I'm afraid I can't help you with the fishing question.

We are staying at summer bay 1st week of november, we had friends stay last september and they LOVED it. They said it was the nicest place they had ever stayed at. They even took pics of the place to show us. (they used our RCI exchange). I hear the pools are really nice with a play area for the kids and have alot of activities for the kids, which is great for us, since we won't be at the parks everyday.

The Liki Tiki Village is right next door and when I say right next door it is right next door. You can see Summer Bay from the Liki Tiki and vice versa. We always stay at Liki Tiki and that is also a very nice kid friendly resort. http://www.likitikivillage.com

did your friends mention anything about the lake activities? the trampoline, rock wall, etc.

I having a terrible time finding any pics or reviews about this resort. It sounds great, it really does...

I am trying to decide between these 3:

Summer Bay (2BR)
Silver Lake (3BR)
Cypress Pointe (2BR)

we will mainly be hanging out at the resort this trip--only doing 2 park days....

any more Summer Bay info out there?

it is, and I have checked the reviews at tripadvisor, but I have a hard time with that site....people either LOVE Summer Bay or they HATE it. it's very frustrating, LOL!

I think people love or hate anything. It's in a good location...you can't walk to Disney to but it's in a quiet location. I haven't heard about rock climbing or anything. I remember them adding new buildings when we were there.

Since they spent most of their time in the parks, they didn't use the lake activites. They did love the kid pool with the water feature. I know you have to pay for the lake activites, but do not know how much anything is.

we decided to go with a 3BR at Silver Lake...we like the idea of having all that space!
