Has anyone looked at flights for July 2008 yet?

I know i'm a bit keen (i havent been on this years holiday yet!!!) but i want to catch a reasonable price.

Found Thompsonfly for £513 which seems reasonable for July... any thoughts? has anyone flown with thomson recently? have they increased the seat pitch recently?

:)

I guess that is in school term, not the holidays? I cant get the wwebsite to quote for holiday time. If its in School time I think its OTT.
I have just compared with TCD. 4th-18th July 08
Thompson flight only for 2 adults £1047.96
TCD Flight, car and Platinum insurance £1,084
Knock off the car and you are getting flights for £363 each.
I know they overcharge on the car but still a lot better than Thompson.

It depends if you think your holiday starts with the flight or the flight is a bus just to get you to Florida I suppose.

My Holiday starts when I pick up the car. I would stand all the way there to get £100 off if they would let me.
My Brother is total opposite to me, he just came back from Vegas at the weekend, had to come back Virgin economy, he said he will never complain about business class prices again, he hated it so much.
I flew TCD about 3 years ago, could not fault them. I know some don't like them but OK for us.:goodvibes

the times i looked at with thompson was 20th july - 3rd aug so just on the beginning of the holidays. i have never booked flight only for july as we have always booked a package before join DVC last year so i dont know what to expect to pay :confused3

i paid £368 for my september flight this year so i expect july to be more £..

does anyone know when the virgin miles & money flights for july 08 will be released.

personally i dont care what the flight is like but DH MUST have decent seat pitch - its makes for a mucg quieter flight for me! :rotfl:

We have booked miles and Money for this August 2nd-27th
Looked every day from them releasing the flights end of Sept. I booked them on 1st day they released M&M which was Xmas morning, 25th Dec. Cost us £533 each, full price was £833 each.

its difficult to know whether to wait and hope that the M&M virgin price is reasonable or whether to book the 1st decent price i find.

we have to book DVC accomodation 11 months in advance so i cant really risk waiting any further out than this as i would worry that i wouldn't be able to get either a room or a flight for the same time :confused3

We booked our M+M in march this year for late july early august for 2 adults and a child and it was £1469.I think if you look aroune end november beginning december M+M may be out.I know someone that booked when they came out and payed £453 each. Not long after I booked mine (5 days to be exact )they dropped £85 off each ticket(adult I think only),but I was worried there might not be any so booked ours there and then.I am sure you will get seats even if you leave it as late as april/may and you may save. With everyones help off here you will be fine:thumbsup2

thanks for all your advice :)

the latest i can leave the flight is 11 months because i will need to book my DVC room 11 months from the check out date to ensure i get the room that i need so for going in july i will need to be looking for my flight in August.

Its weird to be thinking of 2008 when i haven't been this year yet :rotfl:
