Summer 2006 or April 2006?

Which do you think would be worse to go? Our school spring break will be April 17-22 or so next year - would this be a bad time to go? Or do you think it will be the same as going in the summer just not as hot? College spring breakers should be done by this time. I would love to hear your advice - thanks.

We did easter week 2 years ago and will do it again in 2006 since its also our ds spring break. Its very crowded. But if you plan well you will have a good time. My ds are teens and dont get up early so they have to deal with standing room only buses, lines just to get a fastpass with 6 hour later return time, that is not good if you want to park hop, huge lines and table stalking at counter service. I made all our ADR for sit downs before I left. They were turning away walk ins at many places all week long. But the weather is so much more cooler and I asked them to vote when they wanted to go, summer or easter and they all said easter, hands down. Good luck.

Thank you luvmarypoppins...We've only ever gone in the summertime so I'm thinkin' I would like to try a different time of year. Anybody else...

I would definitely choose April over summer as well. Went this past April, and although we were there 2 weeks after Easter, it was still crowded, although very doable. Also been in July, and to me the heat is just oppressive. I was surprised however, at how cold it could get at night in April. So just be prepared for both warm and cold weather. I think it's easier to stand in line and deal with crowds when you're not miserably falling out from the heat.

I also say April.... the crowds are much more bearable when it's not as hot!

I did easter week and it was packed, but managable. We used the unofficial guide tourplans before they were popular, so a long time ago. Showing my age, lol.

July was also packed, and the heat made it miserable.

This year we are going to try the week of April 23rd, which is the week after Easter. I still expect it to be crowded, but we'll manage.

I would pick April over the summer anytime!

Great weather with crowds beats hot, humid, sticky, sweaty, rainy weather with crowds!
