Here is a short summary of our wedding and I will post the picture link as soon as I get it. We arrive at Disney on October 29th and check into our Boardwalk Villa, we got a great room on the same level and a short walk away from the lobby with a Boardwalk. Once we unpacked I called Tanis (our wedding co-ordinator) to let her know our room number, she requested I do this. Once I had her on the phone she said that they would like to try out a new thing with Intimate brides, something Custom brides love, and they wanted me to be their guinea pig. So she asked if I would pose for some pictures before the wedding at the GF staircase, okay I said sure why not. She said great so the limo would stop at the GF let me out she would meet me there and then the limo would take my guests to the WP and come back for me. So now we have two days before the wedding and we enjoy the parks.

November 1st - It's the big day. It is a beautiful morning, sun is shining and it is warm out. I eat breakfast, shower then help my two boys get ready for the wedding. While they finish putting on their tuxes I apply my makeup (I went to Filenes about a month before the wedding and had the ladies show me how to do my own makeup), it came out very good. Around 8:15 am the boys leave to get the limo and my friends arrive to do my hair and help me get dressed. They do a great job with my usually unruly hair and once I have the dress, tiara and viel on I pose for a couple pictures on the balcony then it is our turn to catch the limo (it is now around 9:15 am). We get in the limo and off to the GF, once there Tanis meets me at the limo and escorts me into the GF we start walking and she says that the photographer wants to start outside so we head out past the stairs, and through the window I see Cinderella's glass coach. I ask Tanis if another bride is using it later and she says no, so I ask if it is there for just pictures again she says no, so why is it there, she tells me that it is for me! My husband-to-be wanted to surprise me with Cinderella's coach and that is why she told me the photo story so that I would get out of the limo at the GF without asking questions. Wow, did I start to cry, my husband-to-be is such a wonderful man, no wonder why I am marrying him. The coach is so beautiful, the footman helps me into the coach and off we go to the WP, along the way everyone is waving and beeping their horns, I felt like a true princess. So we get to the WP and I pose for a few pictures for Dave our Disney Photographer, he is awesome, then Tanis gives me my flowers, they are so beautiful. I picked the pink rose bouquet but had some blue flowers added for my 'something blue' and it was so pretty but heavy, I never expected the bouquet to be that heavy! I meet Reverand Jack Day, he is an absolute doll and now it is time for the ceremony. I cried the whole way through the ceremony and then we excited the WP to Under The Sea, it sounded awesome! We walked over the bridge, had rose petals thrown over us and then we took a ride in the coach for pictures before heading back into the WP for the posed pictures, it was great. After the pictures we get back into the coach with my boys and our flower girl and head over to the GF for our cake cutting reception.

We enter the GF and head in the elevator upstairs to our cake cutting ceremony, Tanis annouces us and in we go. We have the toast and then Tanis comes over to my husband and I and says that before we go any further there are two other people that wanted to come and help us celebrate our day. Well can you believe in walk Mickey and Minnie, I start to cry again, another surprise from my husband. We cut the cake, have our first dance, and then pose for some pictures with Mickey and Minnie. After they leave we have our mother/sons dances and it is off to our reception lunch. The limos will have to make two trips to take us all there so we stay and wait in the lobby for the second limo trip. While waiting Rev Jack Day walks in with his wife and introduces us and stops to chat for a while, he is such an awesome man. The limo arrives and off we go.

We get to the Portebello Yacht Club at DTD and head to our tables, it is very nice in here. We order some appetizers then our lunch. The food was all very, very good. They then serve our cake and ask if we want to cut it or if we want them to and since we have two flavors what kind does everyone want. We decide to have them cut the cake and give everyone one of each kind. The cake is absolutely wonderful and before we leave they give me a box of the leftover cake, over half of the bottom layer is left. We had 18 people there and all got a piece of each layer and we still had plenty left over. I would recommend this place for any intimate brides who want a nice place for a lunch, it was beatiful inside and the food was awesome. We leave the restraurant and head to our Town Cars, and just as we start to pull up to the BW is starts to rain, mother nature held off on the rain until our wedding was done. It was purely magical.

We change and wait till everyone meets for our dessert party. Since it hasn't stopped raining we get a call that our party is being moved to the Norway VIP lounge. We finally get to the back entrance of EPCOT and they give us all WDW ponchos and we walk over to Norway. It is nice inside there, plenty of drinks but I was not impressed with the amount of desserts that were served, they were very good though. When it is time we go out and watch Illuminations in the rain and then head back to finish our dessets. It was a good time but I don't think I would pay all that money to do it again.

So except for the rain on the dessert party it was very magical day. My husband's surprise's were great and all the women attending were in tears. He truly is my prince and made me feel like a princess on our wedding day! :cloud9:

Your wedding sounds wonderful!!!!!!!! What absolutely wonderful surprises from your husband, wow!! I dont know what I would do if my husband suprised me with cinderella's coach!! How magical!!!

I'm sorry it rained out on your dessert party.. I am afraid of that happening for ours, i'd rather it rain on my wedding day then on my dessert party lol! They didn't serve you guys enough food? That is odd I always hear how much food is left over at the end of the dessert party. What food package did you order? Now I am wondering if I should order more food for the DP :confused3

WOW! that would have to be the best surprise, I hope they got a picture of you when you found out. Congratulations, it sounds like you had a magical day.

You are incorrect... It was beyond magical. ;) What an incredible wedding you had. You truly did marry a prince.

Congratulations, MApigletfan. I wish you all the happiness in the world.

Congratulations! You really had a magical wedding. Your DH really gave you some great surprises.

To bad about the rain for your dessert party but it sounds like you really had a spectacular day.

When you said that you did not think you would spend the money to do it again, were you talking about the dessert party or the wedding? It sounds like a fabulous day---Congrats!

That sounds fabulous! CONGRATULATIONS!!
We had our Intimate Wedding October 20th and when I read about how you didn't realize your bouquet would be so heavy I had to laugh because I thought the exact same thing - I flet like my wrist would break off it was so heavy! My husband didn't believe me until I had him hold it for me at one point and then he had to agree.
We had Rev. Jack too. He is just the best!
Congratulations again!

I love your pictures! It looks like the perfect day, congratulations on such a beautiful wedding.

MApigletfan, your photos are beautiful. What an incredible wedding you had. Thank you for sharing your fairy tale with us.

aww, congratulations on your marriage! that is so sweet of your husband to surprise you with the coach! thanks for sharing your story & photos, you were a beautiful bride!

one question though with the rain out on your dessert party did you have any say on the rain out location? where were you originally scheduled?

Your pictures were beautiful. It sounds like you had a very magical time. Congratulations! :goodvibes

Mary626 we had the package that was I believe around $23-25 per person, it had cannolis, cheescake, cream filled horns, fruit tarts, eclairs, and a couple of other things. I seemed like there was only one of each item per guests and be the time my husband got to the table all the cheesecake were gone (we were one of the last to get our desserts and he loves cheesecake). Everything was very good though. There was two trays with desserts and we had told everyone to eat a lite dinner because we too had heard that there was plenty to eat.

allisonswonderland - I was talking about the dessert party, we would do the wedding again without hestitaion, nobody does it like Disney. We have already mentioned to our guests at the wedding that we can do it again in 10 years for our VR.

twojo21 - We did not have a choice of where the rain location would be, the called and told us earlier that day that if it continued to rain it would be held at the Norway VIP lounge and they would let me know when we got there. The only choice they gave us was that when it was time for Illuminations we could go out and watch them from Norway or we could walk over to the French Island arm and watch them since that section was being held for us anyway. Since we had my mom there who can't walk very well we decided to just watch them from Norway, too much of a walk to France and it would have taken my mom too long.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, it was a very magical day and one I will never forget!!!!

You're wedding sounds so amazing. We're in the early planning stages of our intimate wedding as well and weren't sure how the reception dinner worked for the intimate wedding. Did you make the arrangements or did your Wedding Coordinator? Was it apart of your package? I hope you don't mind me asking but was your wedding and dinner pricey? We're just trying to get an idea how much it will cost to do an intimate wedding and have cake and dinner for 18 people (7 kids).

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I have been sick and then I had to work this weekend. The wedding itself was about $7,500 (not including the dessert party), I am not sure how much the lunch reception was because his parents paid for that. My wedding co-ordinator made the reservations for the lunch and the florists had the flowers his mother ordered for the tables delivered there. All we had to do on our own was the dessert party.

Sounds like you picked the perfect guy! What a sweetheart - all those surprises on your magical day
