Has anyone cleared yet for a category 1,2 or 3?

We took two category 4's and the waitlist for august 2005 CA cruise, but we haven't heard anything since. The TA said it was better to book something and try to move up, then to just waitlist for a suite without booking a room.

Has anyone else had any luck? If so, please give me some tips and thank you

I got a call today, it seems they are starting to clear the waitlist. We got on the list in March while on the Magic. I am afraid to call back and get the $$$ for the July 13 west coast Category 1. With the huge increase I will likely pass on this one.

How were you able to get on a wait list while aboard in March? None of us, no matter how we tried could even make a ressie, let alone get on a wait list for a higher category.

I had Donna fax a request to inventory control. She filled out a request, faxed it in, and took care of everything. I did it a bit blind since no-one would confirm the itinerarys, but the speculation about west coast had been out there for a while, and there was no risk, I haven't made a deposit or anything.

If you do call back, I would love to hear the numbers as to how much the category 1 upgrade is.

Last time we sailed, we had two connecting category 3's, which was great. But we toured the category 1's and they are awesome!!!

Thanks again,

Susy

Isn't July 13 on a Wednesday? I am waitlisted for a July 2 or July 9 departure Cat 1 or 2 I think- I better double check! Good luck to all of us, I bet the pricing on these will be scary! Would love to hear if anyone finds out -please post.

Yup, I got the date wrong, it was for the 17th. It also looks like the pricing is not the early pricing given the first few hours of the release of these dates, but rather the inflated pricing. I will be turning my hold back over due to the cost, which turned out to be almost $12k. Good luck to whoever is in the waitlist behind me.

For our 14-day Eastbound Panama Cruise trip -- Here's what I was told by a TA with MouseEars Vacations -- all TA's, including DCL reps, were told they could not book any suites -- they were off limits. The TA said it might be because the DL TA's were told to hold them for "celebs". In other words, there apparently is a possibility that there may be some famous people on the West to East bound Panama Canal Cruise.

We were told the same thing about both repositioning cruises - no suites available at all.

But our TA said that the mexico cruises just had all the suites on hold - and that after they filled up the regular rooms - they would start moving people up off the waitlist.

Hopefully like us!

We're in 4 category 4's for August 13, 2005 and we want 1's, 2's, or 3's if we can get them.

Has anyone heard of anyone getting a 1,2, or 3 for the mexico cruises?

We cruised in 2000 (2 connecting category 3's) and we are cruising Thanksgiving 2004 (2 category 2's and 2 category 3's) - so we were hoping "return cruisers" might get some preference but it seems not.

Thanks to everyone for posting their information.

A catagory 4 is over 12,000 for 2 adult/2 children so if you got a suite at those prices you got a better price than the current ones. This is for a repo one.

They are clearing waitlists. They are currently working on early July

I was able to get 2 of my clients on category 3 for June 2005 and I just had one clear for July 9, 2005 in a category 1

All suites were done as a waitlist

Josephine, since you mentioned that they are working on July, does that mean they have already done June? We are on the waitlist for a cat 1,2, or 3 for the June 4th cruise and haven't heard anything.

Let's see if I can figure out how to make it look better

Yes they are done with June right now, of course if people cancel it may open up again.

I would call disney cruise or your ta, however you booked and make sure that the waitlist is still there.

Ok - we just got the upgrade -

We had booked for (4) category 4 rooms and waitlisted for category 1, 2 or 3

For August 13th CA cruise

They just called and said we cleared for (4) category 3 rooms, two of which are adjoining, which is nice

We had adjoing category 3's the first time we sailed and it was great

However, the adjoining ones are also the ones the passporter says to avoid because of goofys pool. Has anyone else stayed there and had a problem with noise?

Has anybody else cleared for 1's or 2's on august 13th, 2005?

Thanks

Bridegirl,

I just PMed you, but will write here just in case! CONGRATS! That is great! I was wondering if they called you or if you had to call them? I am on Aug. 20 repo cruise and called Sat. to check and got some CM who went on and on and on about how they would not be clearing the Aug. waitlists for another month or so. I am waitlisted for Cat. 3 and 2 and SOOOOO hope to get one. Did you waitlistwhen you booked and did they call you today?

Thanks for the info!
