I hope somebody can help me! I have been at the Disney website for days trying to figure this out. We are going to Disney for next Christmas and this time my mother in law would like to come. So we are wanting to find a suite inside Disney that won't break the bank. I read a poston here that someone stayed at the All Star Music resort in a family suite. Well everytime I would ask for a suite at the Disney website they kept putting me in a Deluxe resort. Is there such a thing as a suite at the Value resort? If so about how much? MY eyeballs are about burned out of my head from all the looking I have done. Somebody please help me :confused3

I am a Disney Vacation Owner. I have not priced too many suites at the resorts. But, I believe they are higher than staying at a DVC, depending on time of year. Depending on what you want, you could get 2 adjoining studios, 1 bedroom, or even 2 bedroom. I would look into a one bedroom at one of the DVC resorts. You get a master bedroom, nice bathroom, full kitchen, living room, dining area, Washer/Dryer, balcony, sofa bed. Just go to the rent/trade board and you can get an idea of prices. They go by points. Also, if you do decide to rent, look at the history of the renter and make sure they have been members for a little while. If you have any questions, please feel free to write me a message.:wizard:

Hi there,
I'm with mama03 on this one... we are DVC members too and the DVC accomodation is a great way to stay in Disney.

I don't know how big your family is but if there is 5 or less the port oreans riverside, which is a moderate, is cheaper than the value suite( which is where we are staying because we have 6 in our group)

If you go on the WDW website and tell it you want a value resort you should be able to see the suite unless you only have 4 people in which case it will probably keep telling you to stay in a regular room. DVC is nice but I don't think there is any way it could be as economical as a family suite at ASM, plus the cheaper DVC units are basically just one room and one bathroom and a mini-kitchen and with the family suites you are getting two rooms and two bathrooms and a mini-kitchen. If you get a DVC one bedroom unit that would be nice but more $$$. The difference is that DVC units are not at the value resorts, if staying at a "nicer" resort is more important to you. The trundle bed rooms at POR sleep 5, but you still are all in one room, one bathroom, no kitchen and it it pretty small. You may have to call Disney if you have only 4 people and want a ASM suite. HTH!
With DVC, you can book through Disney, but it is cheaper to rent points. That is kinda scary to me, you are trusting someone you don't know to work the transaction for you. Go to the DVC forum if you are interested in renting points.
