Are there any other suites in the Yacht club besides admiral and comodore suites? Is there a "presidential suite??" Does anyone have pictures of this???
Thanks :sunny:

I believe the Pres. suite is the Captain's Deck and I've not been able to locate photos of it, but I saw it on Travel Channel's Great Hotels. Really nice digs! I believe they have 2 bdrm suites available like other resorts. They may even have a regular 1 bdrm suite, but I'm not 100% positive.

I got this info..but no pictures

Suites: maximum 4-8 Guests
Stay in a Junior with 2 queen-size beds and 1 daybed (sleeps 4); Turret with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths — located in Tower (sleeps 8); two bedroom with 2 baths and sitting area (sleeps 4); Vice Presidential with 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, kitchen and sitting area (sleeps 6); Admiral with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, living area and kitchenette (sleeps 6); or Presidential with 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths (sleeps 6).

Junior from $540
Two Bedroom from $1,165
Vice Presidential from $1,250
Presidential from $1,600

Presidential suite is located on the 4th floor. We had the room right next door on our last trip. :)

I've stayed in the Captains Deck Suite and have a few photos of it in my on-line albums:
Parlor Room
Master Bedroom
Second Bedroom

The suite was beautiful, but what I enjoyed the most was that it had a doorbell. I found that terribly amusing, but when I saw how large the suite was, it made perfect sense to me (but was still very amusing).

Janet I forgot about your stays!! :) My neighbor is going next week (so are we) but they are staying in the presidential suite we are staying Standard :)
But I new I could get them some info from you guys! :)
Am I correct in telling them that this room is concierge also?

Is the captains deck the "presidential suite??"

The Captains Deck Suite is on the first floor of the Yacht Club, on the backside of the resort. It is extremely private and does take up the entire width of the wing that it sits in (it is five resort rooms wide). The back patio area is large and nicely secluded with shrubs, plants, and trees. It is a perfect location for a small dinner or cocktail party.

I don't know if it is true, but someone once told me that Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger's family stayed in that suite. My husband got a kick out of thinking that he slept in the same bed as the Terminator.

What I remember most about the suite (besides its doorbell) is walking into the marble foyer and stating to my husband, "Oh, my goodness -- this suite is gorgeous!" Earlier in the vacation, we had stayed in the Grand Floridian's Cypress Suite (another gorgeous two-bedroom suite). The size and layout of the Captions Deck Suite blew us away in comparison. It's such a shame that the Captains Deck Suite faces the backside of the resort instead of Crescent Lake.

Even though the suite came with concierge service, we only stopped by the concierge lounge once or twice. I did not use the services of the Yacht Club's Itinerary Planning Office or its Concierge Lounge Cast Members (I had planned the entire vacation pretty much with the help of WDW-DINE).

Another thing that I remember about my Captains Deck Suite stay is that I had to check in at the Front Desk, there was no Concierge Lounge check-in offered to me even though folks on the Dis had been claiming that all concierge guests checked in at the lounge (note: I checked into the resort around noon). I don't know if checking in at the Front Desk is standard practice for the suite, I am only relaying my personal experience. I did not mind checking in at the Front Desk. However, what I did mind was that I had to find my own suite. The Front Desk Cast Member who checked me in knew that this was my very first Yacht Club stay (we discussed it as he checked me in), and yet he never offered to have Bell Services lead me to my room. I found that disappointing but chose to keep quiet about it since my sister was with me (I did not want her to pick up on my disappointment and thus make her feel uncomfortable). Luckily, thanks to the Dis website, Joe Cool had shared with me the floor plan to the resort. I remembered the general location of the suite and headed off towards it. To keep my disappointment in check, I decided to make a game of finding Room 1116. My son & daughter and niece & nephew were up to the challenge. Eventually, the kids found our room (and its doorbell). We went on to have a lovely stay at the resort.

The Yacht Club is a beautiful resort, and the Captains Deck Suite is truly lovely. I adore the nautical theme and the suite was true to it in every sense of the word. If any of you choose to stay there, I hope you have a ~magical~ vacation.

Tnkrbell, have a wonderful vacation. I will be in WDW soon, but not as soon as you (it would have been fun to have met). Make sure to write a trip report upon your return home.

Thanks Janet!! I wonder If I could find pictures of the presidential suite somewhere.

1730$ + tax 11.5% = 1,928.95$ per day ! :crazy2: :faint:

I guess i would need to get a another job, or maybe win a boat load of money to stay in that suite!. :rotfl:
