One other difference between a suite and a villa is that a suite currently gets you access to that resort's concierge lounge and concierge staff. The only time I have heard of a DVC villa getting access to the concierge lounge and staff is when someone paid cash for a BoardWalk Villa reservation and booked it with the Grand Plan. I don't know if Disney still does that, but if you are thinking of booking a villa with the Grand Plan (currently called the Platinum Plan), ask this question at the time of booking to get the correct answer.
