Me and my husband will be sharing a really large case going to florida and dont intend to take much but want the two suitcases on the way back so that i can buy lots of goodies
but will i get charged for the second case on the way home? thanks

It's not a problem, as long as you are within your weight and dimension limit as specified by your airline.

I think I spend too much time on the DIS
Just re-reading your post about charging for the second case, you need to be within your "piece" limit as well. So if the one case is between the 2 of you going out and you then each bring a case back, you will be fine. I am assuming you are not talking about each taking an extra case, unless you booked last year before the changes came in and thus qualify for the old allowance.
and you do have extra baggage on the way home, it is way cheaper to pre-pay the extra bag/s online beforehand (I think it has to be 24 hours away from departure, up to 3 hours before). I know nothing about other airline policies in relation to this, but I am sure some others will have similar policies.
, but still, nice to have the options.
it really helps
its always nice to have a matching set
