Suitable footwear...yes I mean feet!!

I tend to wear the plain seagrass flip flops from Accessorize, I can walk around the parks allllll day in them and they never rub, these are the ones I wear:

It really has got to be the plain ones though because the ones with 'bits' on are alot firmer on the thong part and really do rub! These are £8.00!

Also, an essential to keep in your handbag and I absolutely love these for blisters, better than ANY other blister patch that I have used, as soon as you put the plaster over the blister, you cannot feel it again AT ALL, even if your shoe is over it and the plaster does not move:

They are from Walgreens - always buy some when I get there! They have a few different ones though, these are the best IMO! :thumbsup2

whatever I wear I always wear trainer socks with them,,even sandals. Got blisters once and it was a right pain.

It is so odd how different things work for different people - those are completely unthinkable for my feet!!

Good for you though at £8 :thumbsup2

My boyfriend wears Oakley 6" military sand boots. They don't look too bad with shorts and after walking for miles in a 2 week period they keep his feet dead comfy. :yay:

We all wear some form of trekking sandals, a bit like some on here

DD6 usually gets some very similar but from clarkes, as she likes pink :rolleyes1

we could never wear trainers as we find them too hot. On some of our shorter days I am quite happy in my croc flip flops. At home I wear my crocs classic all the time, but find with the heat in Florida my feet tend to rub in them.

Whatever you go with just make sure they are well worn in

Thanks so much everyone for the advice. Helen B and Lisa x. That's so strange. I am a flip-flop addict! I wear them all the time and even when I was heavily pregnant we visited family in Eastbourne and walked for miles. They were all so concerned that I was wearing insufficient footwear for my 'condition'! hehe. I was just worried flip-flops wouldn't provide support for that amount of walking when we visit Disney.
Funny what everyone's saying about one thing works for one person and not another. Although a daily flip-flopper(!) Purchased a pair of Fit-flops. Found them very uncomfortable and have had to put plasters round the middle two joining area. Quite disappointed actually. There you go! We're all different. Doesn't it make life more interesting!!:)

Thanks again.xx

Well have ordered a pair of cheapie crocs for wee daughter and myself but gonna bring a couple of pair of my trustie flip-flops... £2 from M&S!!;) x

Thanks for this idea. My DP won't wear sandals at all and I think his feet will stink in trainers! :lmao:

Are the boots still cool and what kind of socks does he wear with them?

Any other suggestions for mens feet? I should add he is only a Sz 5 so anything that's worked for teenage boys could also help.

TIA

Last April, I wore a pair of Reebok running type trainers that I got from Next - they are mostly mesh, so very very cool. Wore these with little trainer socks, and my feet and legs were the comfiest they've been in 4 visits to WDW! I had no bother at all, and could walk all day (at a fast pace sometimes too) without my legs feeling too tired.

I had a pair of Crocs Caymans for the water parks, which were fine until I got sand in them, and that rubbed into a blister!

I think I'm one of those people who'd have to wear socks with everything...

DS12 and DS8 wore well broken in trainers and trainer socks, Crocs Caymans for the water parks too, and didn't get any blisters. Although I don't think their trainers were quite as comfy or supportive as my running type ones. DF wore puma trainers, and his legs got a little tired by mid-afternoon.

I figured walking around WDW in that heat must be equivalent to a long run! ;)

Happy hunting!

Two approaches:

Open shoes that let water run back out and dry quickly, i.e. crocs, tevas, or other sandals.

Trainers or athletic shoes with or without socks. IMHO have a spare pair of shoes so one can dry out over night. Wear wicking socks, not cotton, worth the expense.

Agree with carry Bandaids blister plasters in any case.

Whatever you wear, try wearing it for 6-8 miles of walking before your trip.
