My fave 'Smiths' song was 'How soon is now', blimey it was released in 1985, was it really that long ago that I went everywhere with my trilby hat (thankfully here are no photos in existence to prove it !!)
I know, I know, but the Ska movement was big in Coventry, especially with The Specials coming from there, and I sort of couldn't lose that hat for 4 or 5 years - it was a cross between a trilby and a pork-pie hat.
Dodgiest gear I've ever worn without a doubt was during my Bay City Rollers phase. Three quarter length jeans with tartan trim and a tartan scarf tied around my neck and around each wrist. I thought I looked great - but I was under 10 at the time.

Well the first concert I ever saw was Emerson, Lake and Palmer, which was great but the best concert I ever saw was Prince, absolutly fantastic, a close second was Bryan Ferry.
Robert Smith lived down the road from me a while ago, they had a recording studio there, he used to turn up in the local traditional white hart hotel with his hair all skew whiff and wonky make up!! The locals thought Satan had arrived
Great music BTW, also loved 'Olivers Army' Elvis Costello
My first concert was the Teardrop Explodes too - in Southend on Sea. I remember Julian Cope getting humpy because everyone was talking during the slow songs!
