My brother, wife, their 3yr and 8 mos old boys will be staying at the Swan arriving Sat May 3.

They are thinking of not getting a car because of the car seat situation....either tote them down on the plane or renting two with a car, neither is really pleasent.

They are taking off on a direct flight from a NY airport at 2:00 pm....I figure them arriving at the Swan around 6. Thinking that they had a car, I originally planned Ohana's at 8. I am thinking that this will be a hassle without them having a car....I will have my Expedition....with one built in car seat.

I think we will have to change Ohanas and go for a place near the Swan/BWV/BCV/Dolphin. We liked Guliver's, Spoodles was only OK, we want a new place maybe....maybe somewhere at the Swan....never eaten their...unless Guliver's is there.

Its going to be ten or twelve people. The loud, family, open atmosphere of Ohanas would have been perfect. Can someone offer a suggestion in this area?

They are arriving that day and don't want to burn a day of passes just to eat.

I may be wrong but I think car seats are free with a rental car. My daughter rented a car in Washington and had a car seat installed at no extra charge. May depend on rental company.

Have you considered the Flying Fish at the BoardWalk? We ate there last year and the meal was fantastic.

Is it possible to just bump your 'Ohana ressie back a little bit, to say 9 p.m. or so? When we stayed at the Boardwalk, we just hopped on the Magic Kingdom bus and then the monorail to Chef Mickey's on our first night. I would imagine 'Ohana would work the same way -- at least that's what we're doing this December.

If that doesn't work, how 'bout Cape May? Have you ever eaten there?

Since the kids are so young, and it is still a two vehicle rie with a transfer and they are going to be with another couple with very young children, I am thinking that it just wouldn't be that practical.

I thought she checked and they were near $10 each per day...that sounded high to me, but its been a long time since I needed a car seat....I am going to double check. A car is so much easier.

With our loud, primitive group, I am thinking the Flying Fish will be a little to tame....although the one time I did try it, I liked it.

What about the Big River Grill? It's not an all you can eat type thing like 'Ohana - and I just know what I have read on the menu which seems rather tame to me.

Otherwise, if you are looking for loud and primitive, definitely give Cape May a try if you haven't before. We were just there in December for the dinner buffet and had the first seating of the night and it was packed and fairly buzzing. My kids, 6 and 7, really enjoyed the paper on the tables that they could color on. Sounds like you have a kid or two that would enjoy that in your group. We had a group of 6 - but I seem to remember a larger group there as well when we were there.

The food is full of variety yet simple enough to please any taste buds in my opinion.

She really isn't bringing a car seat for the infant? I'd think at 3 months one of those infant carriers would be MUCH easier to tote around with the baby in it than trying to juggle the baby and all the other stuff you generally carry around with a baby and a family. If she checks that, then you could use your built in seat for the 3 yr old.
